Global Markets Role - Equity Linked Multi Strategy Desk - Investment Bank

Team : Equity-Linked Multi-Strategy Ideas (Ideas Hub):

The IdeasHub Team is the strategy/ research team of Equity-Linked businesses (Convertible Bonds, Equity Derivatives and Delta-One) across all regions. The team works with Sales and Traders in the regions on highlighting/ publishing trade ideas, pricing, back testing, index/basket creation, building analytical tools and managing databases required for strategy work.

Role & Responsibilities of the position in brief :

- Learn about Convertible bonds and work closely with teams in HK, London and NY

- Provide real-time support to CB Trading, Sales & Strategy teams with risk/scenario analysis, CB pricing / modeling, and bespoke requests (fundamental and/or statistics analysis, ad-hoc client requests, etc.)

- Maintain and improve CB systems, database and trading tools (both in-house systems and Excel-based tools)

- Play an active role in problem solving processes and CB database integrity

- Technical bond analysis and highlight relative value trade ideas to Sales/Traders

- Publish regular CB strategy reports; prepare product guides and presentation/pitch book for Sales; bespoke client requests

- Provide frequent support to credit analysts (e.g. financial statements- preparation, credit ratio calculations, company- business and balance sheet analysis, etc.)

- Communicate confidently with sales, traders and strategists in regions

- Liaise with Tech and other support teams on various projects.

- Exceptional oral and written English communications skills

- Strong Excel skills essential (VBA or other programming language skills a plus) with comfort working with large datasets

- Excellent multi-tasker and have problem-solving abilities

- Dependable and proactive. Able to prioritize the workload and use time efficiently

- Accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks

- Good fundamental analysis skills (financial reporting, accounting & corporate finance). CFA Level 1 or 2 desirable.
