Global Chief Technology Officer - Transnational Group

The Company :

Our client is a transnational group with established operations in manufacturing and international trade. Set up over 50 years ago, the company mainly operates in FMCG, White Goods, Power equipment and Automotive products. A highly focused and profitable operation, they are currently in the process of identifying a CTO to join their global leadership team

The Job :

As their Chief Technology Officer, you will lead the Technology & Digitalization function for the group and develop technology Strategy for the Group and its diversified businesses across geographies.

The role would involve setting up the basic infrastructure, improving upon existing practices and spearheading new interventions that would institutionalize world class IT systems and processes that would support the Businesses and functions within the Group. The ultimate aim would be for the group to be a systems and process driven organization that adds value to the customers & other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Providing leadership to the IT & Digitalization function which will accelerate business results.

- Owning the technology strategy comprising information, systems & connectivity and ensuring successful implementation.

- Understanding the business needs, evaluating current processes & working on future steps.

- Study & Recommend a set of Global business & function led IT framework that yields results

- Partnering the Businesses/Functions in leveraging the power of IT/Systems & contemporary processes.

Key Tasks:

- Define the technology architecture of the company and advise the top management & leadership teams on how to gain competitive advantage through Technology.

- Provide state-of-the art technologies that enhances collaboration with Customers - external & internal.

- Developing, tracking and controlling the development of annual operating and capital technology budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations

- Using technology to improve on delivering the products & services that the company offers.

- Liaising and collaborating with suppliers of technical solutions to enhance product range and customer relations.

- Monitoring web analytics and making recommendations that align with business goals

- Building processes for data protection and quality assurance

- Build a strong & effective IT/Digital team to consistently serve internal customers of the group

- Working closely with Finance, Marketing, Business Development and Operations to define and deliver new utilities and enhancements

- Ensuring the company's technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations including the internal IT security systems.

Your Profile :

- IT qualifications at degree/master's level in technology from reputed institutions and a minimum of 15-20 years of experience, including a substantial stint as a technology leader responsible for strategy and operational delivery.

- Proven experience in conceptualizing, implementing and operating technology frameworks, especially focusing on upgrading legacy systems.

- Experience of working with business to understand requirements and limitations to evolve practical solutions at the appropriate levels of technology.

- Experience of working with geographically distributed operations comprising multiple countries & cultures.

- Relevant industry knowledge, preferably comprising consumer distributed products, B2B markets and international operations.

- Ability to Influence diverse stakeholders.
