Global Lead Procurement - Global Travel

The Global Category Buyer - Travel will be an expert of the travel industry dealing with competitive environments, global and local scales and have a strong acumen for decision-making rooted in data and analytics.

He/She will regularly influence internal and external worlds by advising leaders across multiple stakeholder groups to set the direction from sourcing strategies and related initiatives in line with business unit and corporate goals.

Key Areas of Responsibility Include:

- Establishing strong relationships with internal business stakeholders and governance global team; building a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements, compliance and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories.

- Developing in depth global sourcing strategies for the Travel focused on Hotels and train segments to deliver against business objectives for Procurement & internal stakeholders.

- Evaluating supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking techniques & be the catalyst of change management.

- Support one of the key regions as a single point of contact for Travel including Air, Short Term Car rentals, TMC management etc. through internal collaboration (including with IP regional team)
