JOB TITLE : Assistant Manager - Finance, Taxation &amp; Compliance REPORTS TO : Sr. Manager - Finance COUNTRY : India DEPARTMENT : Finance LOCATION: Nabha, Punjab JOB PURPOSE: - To perform all activities related with compliance of IGST, CGST &amp; SGST Laws, (including Central Excise, Service Tax and VAT) and Income Tax Act. along with the activities of Accounts Receivables of the site. To support site compliance officer to ensure compliance @ Site DIMENSIONS OF THIS ROLE (e.g. Sales Revenue Impacted, direct reporting) ISGT, CGST &amp; SGST, (including Central Excise, Service Tax &amp; VAT) &amp; Income Tax - Payment of GST duty INR 100 Crs p.a. - Availment of GST credit to the tune of ~INR 50 Crs p.a, - TDS deposit of Rs. 5 Crs p.a. - Filing of returns under GST : 37 Nos. + (37 for Canteen operations) - Number of GST invoices - 15000 nos p.a., - Number of dispatch invoices - 5000 nos p.a., - Number of Delivery challan - 500 p.a. - Value of clearances : INR 450 Crs p.a. - TDS/TCS Certificates generated: 500 p.a. Debtors - No of Sales contracts managed: 15 nos - Scrap Sales - INR 3 Crs. p.a. - Sale Invoice generated: 250 p.a. - No. of audits team attended : 6 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - To manage the legal aspect of litigations &amp; disputes with the department. (Drafting of legal replies, appeals etc. &amp; representing the company in litigations) - To ensure completion of assessment of the company under the Central Excise - Preparation of monthly returns and completion of various activities in relation to production receipt and dispatch for compliance with Central Excise Laws at site. - To correctly avail Cenvat credit of all input and capital goods received in the factory to ensure no monetary loss to the company and to timely complete Cenvat reconciliation. - To deposit correct amount of TDS, generate TDS Certificate, preparing and submitting quarterly E-TDS return and yearly TDS return with Income Tax department for compliance with Income Tax Act at site. - To prepare and submit monthly and quarterly VAT return to sales tax department and to generate correct payment thereof in respect of Nabha Factory, Zirakpur depot and Hamira to comply with the requirement of State VAT Act and Central Sales Tax Acts. Preparing other various documents for VAT Annual statement in a timely manner. - Generating Scrap and other sale invoices, accounting of receipts, deduction of TCS on Scrap sale, depositing TCS with Government treasury, generating and dispatching TCS certificate and preparing and submitting quarterly e-TCS return with Income Tax department for Compliance with Income Tax Act and ensuring timely &amp; proper accounting of debtors. - Completion of all activities &amp; managing of C, F and H Forms so as to ensure smooth movement of inter state incoming and outgoing materials at site and other locations in Punjab. - Preparation of half yearly Service tax return, timely deposit of service tax on GTA with the authorities. Compliance and Risk Management: - To ensure regulatory and corporate governance compliance at site by making risk assessment and its mitigation/management by providing mirror outlook to the management through site risk register with mitigation plans, gap analysis of various enactments and corporate policies and ICL incorporating cost projections with timeliness. - Ensure submission of monthly compliance tracker of entire site to the management of all functions at site. - Arrange annual lighten up activity at site in order to save time and cost. - Prepare, review and update standard operating procedure for different operational areas complying with statutory norms as well as GSK rules/regulations and systems/procedures with clear accountability. - Prepare and distribute monthly gap analysis programme to all functions at site after finding and freezing various applicable enactments/rules/regulations. - To make ensure implementation of IFC and its sustainability - Submission of quarterly ICLs - To ensure compliance on BPCS transactions Other Miscellaneous - To manage all initiatives associated with the GQP, GQMP &amp; Quality policy, EHS &amp; compliance at site. - Conduct L1 audits as per the schedule and participate in the L2 audit as an Auditee / Auditor. - Identify the gaps against respective GQMP/GQP/LSOP Vs In_use and escalate through Risk log to functional HOD. - Provide the status on the CAPA pertaining to L1, L2, Validation, Deviations, OOS to Manager Quality council to support the Quality council process and thereby bring in improvements at site. - Carry out Quality GEMBA to identify the improvements in the process and to communicate Quality culture / mindset. Key Behavioural Competencies Required: - Knack of conclusively dealing &amp; managing situations with Government Officials. - High influencing skills to deal with government officials to apprise them of our points of view &amp; contentions &amp; getting favorable decisions from them. - High aptitude in language &amp; legal drafting so as to be able to frame &amp; draft various replies in legal cases and for normal day to day replies to queries etc of the governmental departments - High Analytical skills in drafting legal replies so as to search &amp; incorporate various facts &amp; case laws in the legal replies - Good communication skills for effectively dealing with external &amp; internal customers. - Persuasive skills to effectively dealing with external &amp; internal customers - Quick Decision making - Negotiation and influencing skill - Adherence to timelines - Reliable &amp; committed to the job Experience/Knowledge/Technical Skills Required: - CA/ICWA/MBA in Finance with working experience of 2-5 years - Sound knowledge of GST Laws, Excise, VAT, Service Tax and Income Tax laws applicable to site - High aptitude in language &amp; legal drafting so as to be able to frame &amp; draft various replies in legal cases and for normal day to day replies to queries etc of the governmental departments
