Role Description

Product manager in Giant Eagle's Customer Experience organization plays a meaningful role in helping to translate and support a customer-first vision into a tangible product roadmap for execution. He/She works cross-functionally to solve important problems across the customer journey (Planning, Shopping and fulfillment) translating into a unified and delightful experience for our customers. Given the holistic nature of the customer experience group, the product manager will bring an omnichannel mindset, the ability to creatively problem solve, and a heightened level of empathy for customers and colleagues. This is your chance to take the lead, shape a strategy, and work with like-minded team of engineers and designers to bring it to life. No matter what product you lead, you'll be working to help guests and team members in ways that drive Giant Eagle's business.

Primary Job Responsibilities

- Own a discrete product portfolio and actively build, manage, and groom product backlog in support of business and customer imperatives

- Analyze proposed solutions and customer data to make recommendations and approve solutions to ensure product requirements meet current needs and provide flexibility for future business needs

- Coordinate implementation of the omnichannel customer roadmap with dependencies across multiple functions and business units

- Play critical role in developing, launching, and scaling customer-facing programs and solutions

- Identify dependencies across initiatives and gaps within requirements; fill those gaps through analysis and proactive requirements building

- Work collaboratively across a matrixed organization to coordinate initiative development and implementation

- Drive transparency around initiative timelines and ensure requirements are met in a timely manner, within budget, and with high quality

- Proactively manage all initiative risks ensuring they are quickly identified, communicated, and mitigated

Education

Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field). MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience Required:

- 3-7 years

Experience Desired :

- Prior experience in retail or ecommerce product management or business consulting

- Prior experience in Web/Mobile products
