Role : VP/AVP, Direct S2P SME

- In this role, you will be responsible for building Direct S2P practice for Make to Order business. You will function as a SME for sales pursuit and liaise with delivery teams to ensure proper solution design, Industry best practices and cost and fitment to the portfolio as well as to the sales strategy.

- You will work with sales to develop a winning strategy, develop it with the Solutioning team, then present for internal approval and customer acceptance.

- Your role will function as an overlay of existing technical and domain experts and bring value through disciplined sales pursuit and solution management skills.

- Work experience background required ( describe work exp of suitable candidates):

Has 15-20+ Years of experience in Sourcing & Procurement specifically from Energy Sector

- Should have been Direct Procurement leader for a - Engineered to Order- or - Make to Order- business

- Handled a dynamic group of Senior Managers/Managers

- Deep expertise in direct sourcing commodities in Energy / Oil & Gas specifically in both Projects and also manufacturing of Products

- Experience in Industries such as - Engineer to Order- Or - Make to Order-

- Good understanding and experience in managing Transactional Procurement & Sourcing processes for large projects

- Working experience on any of the common ERPs (SAP, Ariba, Oracle R12 etc.)

- Experience of working in offshore delivery environment leading sourcing activities with focus on driving savings for the clients. Prior experience of delivering committed/contractual savings would be added advantage

- Proven record of handling clients and suppliers independently across EU, NA & APAC regions

- Proven record of orientation to continuous process improvements and familiarity with methodologies such as 6 Sigma, Lean etc.

Responsibilities :

- Will act as a regional transformational leader for 300+ Sourcing & Procurement team responsible for following but not limited to :

- Lead transformational initiatives to drive effectiveness and efficiency of the sourcing & procurement team for respective regions

- Provide expert support on complex sourcing projects and commodity expertise to drive savings on the overall portfolio of products being procured.

- Develop Continuous Improvement/Transformation roadmap to drive improvements within the process by engaging internal teams and customer teams

- Support & ensure implementation of Process Standardization, training, exception handling, crafting analytical solutions and functional support for digital solutions

- Ensure there is robust standard operations being implemented across delivery locations within the region and also remote supporting locations

- Manage relationships with all relevant stakeholders and senior client stakeholders (internal and external) across different delivery locations on the transformation progress

- Accountable for timely implementation of Transformation projects

- Resource the projects which will deliver business impact, Plan and allocate resources to ensure cost under control

- Continually strive to improve efficiency and increase productivity within their regions.

Qualifications - 

Minimum qualifications - 

- Mechanical Engineer with experience in Make to Order Industry (Organizations like GE, Siemens, Hitachi, O&G, UTC etc preferred)

- 15-20 years of experience in Make to Order industry

- Commodity Mgmt. experience in Engineered products or castings or forgings or C Parts

Essential skills:

- Subject Matter Expert with Excellent knowledge of Direct Procurement (esp. Sourcing activities)

- Commodity expertise in atleast one of the following Engineered parts, MRO, - C- Parts, Castings, Forgings etc

- Global Operations experience

- Problem solving & decision making ability

- Ability to effectively lead the team

- Excellent client and supplier interaction skills

- Excellent Project Management skills
