AVP Supply - Operations Role - Planner Supply  We are looking for women candidates only   Taleo ID : ANA001608 : Recruiter - Divya  Summary of Role / Profile:  Focus of the Function :  - The Supply Planner is responsible for the strategic and tactical planning of manufacturing and distribution for a specific set of products for assigned Brands. The Supply Planner takes the demand plan and develops the supply plans using capacity modeling and MPS, ensuring the lowest cost of ownership model for the business. Effort results in an action plan for constraints and a Master Production Schedule for the site scheduling team to execute.  Why does this job exist :  - This position will need to improve current business practices and develop strong working relationships with business partners in delivery of CFR targets with a total cost management approach. The objective is to optimize the balance between supply availability, cost, inventory investment, and risk of obsolescence.  How does the role add value :  - The position is responsible for Maintaining capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives.  - Provides supply planning expertise to the commercialization of new products or resolution of key inventory shortage issues  - Schedule finished goods production for each assigned product group. Supply recommendations are based upon scheduling parameters and system settings that are developed and maintained to support sales goals, inventory financial targets, as well as minimizing the age of product when shipped to a customer.  - Coordinate activity that impacts Brand's ability to maintain constant and sufficient product supply, ensuring communication with Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and other internal customers  - Manage and control finished goods inventories for assigned items in order to achieve the company's financial targets along with utilizing old age reports to determine action required to initiate salvage sale or disposal of product  - Participate in department and company initiatives requiring the expertise of a supply planner. Activities could include but are not limited to consensus seasonal teams, new product introduction teams, supply chain cost optimization opportunities, or business process initiatives.  - Initiate product listing/delisting/withdrawal in conjunction with Marketing.  How is this role unique from others:  The position manages the short-term (quarterly) and long-term (yearly) budgeting process for Brands. Understanding and verifications of variances to management are critical success factors while tracking the plant/business performance (KPIs) to the established supply chain plan such as service goals, Days Supply, 13 month inventory average, and plant adherence.  Who are the key relationships for this role:  This position will act as a liaison and communication point between Factories, Sales & Marketing, Demand Planning, Transportation, Warehousing and Customer Service.  What are the minimum prior qualifications to be an applicant for this role:  - Graduate/PG in Operations, Supply Chain Management / Engineering / Business or related field with understanding of applications such as SAP or other ERP/APS software experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required.  - 10+ years of experience in areas such as production scheduling, inventory management or supply/operations planning is preferred.  What are the key initiatives & challenges facing this role in the next six months to three years:   - Oversees inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants and/or co-packers.   Specific competences ( Essential) :   - Strong understanding of supply chain and supply planning business drivers, organization structures and key metrics.
