General Works Manager for a leading Foods & Beverages Company

Roles & Responsibilities:

- To plan, direct, organize, coordinate, control all the functions of the unit, with specific focus to the Engineering, Production, Procurement and Logistics. To ensure that all the departments of the units are functioning properly and effectively in order to achieve the organizational objectives.

- To ensure that budgeted volume of production is achieved within the budgeted cost of the year. To ensure the quality of the product and the plant. To manage all the legal and statutory compliance of the unit.

Reports to the Unit Head

Number of direct reports:

- (Production, Maintenance, Procurement &Logistics Managers and in specific cases HSE manager)

Measures to success

- Proper and effective coordination of all the departments in the unit, with specific focus (lead, organize and control) on the Engineering and P&L related departments

- To reduce wastages.

- To control the cost of production within the budget .

- Innovation of cost saving-to identify new ways of reducing production cost as a part of TPM

- To maintain the quality at all the levels of the production.

- To maintain good and harmonious industrial relation.

- Provide training and development program whenever required in order to enhance the ability of the workers.

- Maintain environmental norms, safety and health parameters as required in the work environment and as per statutory norms

Job holder profile

Qualification:

- Must possess a Bachelors degree in engineering

Experience required:

- Must possess 15 to 22 years of hands-on experience in any leading and reputed manufacturing company, preferably FMCG or one that has continuous-process

Languages required:

- English and local language(preferable)
