Position Title: Assistant Manager - Global Accounting Operations

Role Reports to: Manager - Global Accounting Operations

Function/Group: Finance

Span of Control ( Team Size) : 10-15

Shift Timings: 01:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Job Overview :

- Manage people & act as an SME for the process

- Work independently / directly with business partners to ensure processes are is well understood and executed

- Ensure strong, clear process documentation and controls are in place

- Utilize custom and ad hoc reporting functionality to provide accessible and meaningful reports to business partners

- Help develop clear process documentation and strive for continuous improvement of processes and efficiency

- Resolve related issues, with minimal involvement from business partners.

- Actively participate in the development of emerging leaders

- Ensure/Manage Hiring Process for New Personnel (Right talent at first place itself) and roll out retention strategies to retain a key talent

Job Responsibilities :

60% of the time:

Service Delivery :

1. Be a SME for all the processes with your organization which are and will be delivered

2. Creating solutions to new process challenges by applying financial / process knowledge

3. Responsible for team's deliverable, optimum resource utilization and SLA management

4. Ensure accurate reporting and timely issue resolution

5. Ensure compliance with all applicable General Mills accounting policy and SOX requirements

6. Collaborate with various department to develop, achieve goals, objectives and priorities

7. Ensure Back ups & cross training in place at 100%

8. Manage stakeholder escalations & discuss with team to identify & implement solutions

9. Develop ad hoc reporting and analytics to support business requirements

20% of the time:

Service Excellence :

1. Provide directions to team members ensuring all TAT & SLA's are met

2. Leverage CI tools and automation to initiate projects to increase efficiency

3. Assisting the manager in organizing, planning & implementing strategy

4. Play a role as an approve in the process i.e. for Account Reconciliations / Journal Entries
