General Mills - Assistant Manager - Finance & Accounts (3-5 yrs)

- Responsible for all aspects of Financial Accounting at GBS INDIA including but not restricted to managing audits, monthly books closing, compliances, GL Reconciliations, Monthly reporting and Analysis.

- Financial Accounting & Management Reporting

- Strong knowledge of Indian and US GAAPs

- Audits (Statutory, Internal, GST audits, Tax Audits)

- Compliance (Direct Tax, Indirect Taxes such as Service Tax & GST, preferable STPI & Transfer Pricing).

- General Ledger Reconciliations, Trial Balance Finalization.

- Liasioning with stakeholders for settlement of advances, deposits and resolving queries around this. 


40 % of Time - To assist in Statutory Compliances - Direct and Indirect Taxes (GST, Service Tax etc.) and filling of various returns on Monthly/quarterly/half yearly and annually, Refund filing etc.

- Liasioning with the tax authorities for filing the GST refunds, explanation for queries/issues and finally ensuring that the GST refund is timely received.

- Ensuring appropriate documentation is in place for all the return/refunds so filed.

30% of Time - To ensure monthly book closure, GL Reconciliations, Blackline uploads for schedules, ensuring end to end reconciliations and settlement of advances, deposits etc,

- To ensure smooth closure of Statutory audit, Internal Audits, Global Audits and finalization of Trial Balance on a monthly basis.

10% of Time - Preparation of MIS for Variance analysis on a monthly basis to track the reasons for variation in cost.

- Resolving all the accounting, taxation, GL/CC issues if any identified/queries raised by stakeholders.

10% of Time - Designing & developing sound Internal Control Systems by implementing Global policies in all areas of financial accounting and reporting.

- Maintenance of Reference data: Upkeep of cost centers and G/L accounts in MFGPRO finance module. Check requirement for creation & closure of accounts

10% of Time - Adhoc : Preparation of various data requirements for analysis by stakeholders as and when required.
