JOB DETAILS : Position : General Manager / Vice President - Production &amp; Operations Reporting to : Managing Director Location : Sri City, Tada, Andhra Pradesh (Near Chennai) Desired Skills : - BE / B. Tech (Mech.) with 25 to 30 years of experience in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil &amp; Gas / Boilers industry or any capital goods manufacturing or any fabrication industry. - Should have good knowledge in welding process (TIG,MIG &amp; SAW) &amp; procedures, testing procedures &amp; ASME codes - Should have good communication skills - Should have good people management skills - Hard working and result oriented approach towards achieving tasks Job Description: - Manage the entire production Area, responsible for planning, coordination and control of all activities related to the production processes, productivity and maintenance. - Responsible for daily production activities including planning, coordination and control. - Plan the production in order to execute the monthly production target and Project Schedule. - Ensure the production man-hours are properly utilized and job cards are properly maintained. - Cross verification of material indent requisition in comparison to engineering drawing. - Effective utilization of man power with maximum efficiency. - Control &amp; Supervise the sub-ordinates and give technical support &amp; guidelines related to the production processes. - Ensure the Production activities are as per Drawings, QAP and welding Procedures as per WPS. - Ensure timely accomplishment of production targets within the time frame and cost parameters mutually agreed with the Management - Participate in weekly production meetings with Senior Management in the production activities. - Leading and guiding the production department team in achieving the production targets - Compliance to Safety, Statutory Regulations, Quality Management Systems &amp; IMS Procedures - Work on cost saving through value analysis / value engineering - To create and follow all necessary indicators to evaluate the manufacturing process for continuous improvement practice such as LEAN management and SIX Sigma. - Provide leadership and support to optimize, standardize and deploy lean principles and practices. - Reduce the rework and rejection by applying the various tools &amp; process - To coordinate with all other supporting departments such as procurement, quality control &amp; assurance, Design, and Planning to ensure smooth production work flow. - Participate and promote other related professional activities pertinent to production according to the guidance and directives by the management. - Provide service &amp; technical support to the customer - Ensure safe working environment &amp; good housekeeping in the workshop. - Compile the annual Budget, defining with direct subordinates towards the objectives, goals and actions of the areas under his command, with the purpose of achieving the Budget. - Define preventive and corrective actions along with the quality representative in the processes inherent to the Quality Assurance System, and removal of non-conformities. - Develop and implement an annual operations excellence plan for process control, cost out opportunities and overall execution. - Ensure timely accomplishment of production targets within the time frame and cost parameters mutually agreed with the Management - Participate in the development of new products, conducting pertinent studies, analysing the production capacity and other relevant. - Manage the corrective electrical and mechanical maintenance program to be achieved in the Production Areas, in conformity with the on-going productive processes so that no interruptions and/or damages occur in the activity. - Secure the collaboration of the Production Area in the maintenance of the Quality System and the ISO Certification, by spreading the quality culture among the professionals under the responsibility of Production Head and by encouraging the fulfilment of pre-established norms in the Quality Manual.
