Job Description :

- Exercise leadership in developing new carbon black products for various rubber applications

- Coordinates with different Domestic and International Tyre /Non Tyre players to approve finished and new product.

- Conduct surveys for placing new grades in the market. Accountable to visit customer locations as per plan and strategy

Job Description : 

- Product Development & Customer Relationship Management

- Exercise leadership in developing new carbon black products for various rubber applications

- To cultivate and nurture relationship with customer officials by extending support in product development, resolving manufacturing issues and material testing as to yield maximum leverage in the long run

- Coordinates with different Domestic and International Tyre /Non Tyre players to approve finished and new product. Conduct surveys for placing new grades in the market. Accountable to visit customer locations as per plan and strategy

- Monitor, analyse and investigates details behind external customer complaints and internal non-conformance to assure effective root cause determination and communicate the information appropriately to the respective stakeholders at customer (both internal and external)

- Negotiates changes to specifications as required with customers and keeps all documentation up-to-date and cross-referenced

Technical Support and Training

- Provide technical expertise and acumen to our Marketing team in order to promote our product to customers at various markets

Research:

- Researches benchmarking references, incorporates "best practice" and implements procedures and work instructions as appropriate

Lab Management and Reporting:

- Implements sound quality practices in the laboratory, including statistical process control and statistical quality control. Implements methodologies to ensure adequate monitoring and control of critical process variables (in conjunction with the process team) and test methods that impact product properties and performance (at customers).

- Investigate and resolve performance and quality related complaints by ensuring lab procedure adherence, conducting application related performance test and compiling report.

Profile : 

- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Chemical and Polymer Science/Rubber Technology)

- 15 -18 years of working knowledge of Rubber Goods Manufacturing process, profited weather strip, seals, power transmission belts and moulded goods.

- Knowledge of and direct experience with rubber compounding, formulations related to tyre and non-tyre rubber applications

- Knowledge of how Carbon Black KMCs can influence rubber performance characteristics

- Ability to map top performance characteristics in each application segment under tyre and non-tyre rubber compounds

- Knowledge of quality assurance techniques and practices, manufacturing process controls, product uniformity and variation and quality related problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of laboratory practices and familiarity with rubber performance testing equipment and ability to scientifically interpret results

- In depth knowledge of different kinds of Rubber and Thermoplastic Elastomers

- Knowledge of Tyre Manufacturing is preferred
