One of the Global organization(MNC) is hiring for General Manager - Taxation with diverse experience. The person will be responsible for Supporting the Organization on compliance of Direct & Indirect Tax Laws (including International Taxation).Handling Tax assessments, Audits and provide assistance in Tax litigations. Has to work in a fairly challenging environment where audits, assessments, litigations happening simultaneously along with ensuring compliance.   Job Objective :   - Responsible for company tax and related legal aspects (direct and indirect Tax). Ensure that tax regulations are complied with. Assessment of changes in fiscal regulations on business  Team - Manages a team of 2 employees  Reports to : AVP Taxation & Corporate Affairs  Key Interfaces   External: Tax Consultants (direct and indirect tax matters), Tax Auditors, Legal Counsel   Internal : Marketing, Sales team, Internal accounts & finance teams, Legal team, IT team  Key Activities/ duties to be conducted in the job. :  - Supporting the organization in company tax and legal aspects (Direct, Indirect & International Tax)  - Implementing systems for accurate & timely compliance.   - Identify tax risks, tax compliances and tax efficiency.   - Responsible for timely reports submission to government dues impacting cash flows   - Liaising with statutory auditors, tax consultants   - Liaise with government authorities and tax consultants to facilitate operations by smooth tax management   - Support internal teams on the tax and legal point of view of our product offering.  - Providing support with respect to tax litigation that the company occasionally faces  - Support the new product development team with inputs on tax matters.  - Support the communication team by vetting all written material on messages which have a tax implications.  - Handling matters relating to Direct and Indirect Taxation including statutory compliances, Tax Audits and Tax Planning.   - Support statutory compliance and guide on issues regarding compliance concerning statutory, legal or governmental authorities, etc.  - Handling appeals, ensure timely action is taken on appeals, and pursues effective resolution  - Handling Tax assessments & audits by tax authorities.   Principal Accountabilities :   - Compliance with Direct and Indirect Taxation Laws, tax Planning  - Guiding internal teams on direct tax implications   - To evaluate the likelihood of any impact on Company emerging due to new legislation or rules that are framed by the Government  - Support field staff in answering or responding to legal / taxation queries   Desired Profile : Describe the typical profile (education, diplomas, years of studies, necessary experience / domains of expertise) required to hold this position  - A Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-10 years of experience  - Excellent communication skills  - Strategic mindset with ability to understand all aspects of the business  - Strong project management skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, to multitask and deal with different stakeholders  - Should have good experience in Direct and Indirect Taxation.
