General Manager - Structured Finance - Renewable Energy

Our client is a leading engineering, design and consultancy company with presence in 18 countries around the globe:

The General Manager of Structured Finance will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the financial strategy, project finance, project investment, and structured finance for our client's Solar Independent Power Producer development business.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for working collaboratively with our customers and a desire to create new processes and requirements that result in more effective commercial solution delivery. Candidates will need to be proficient in understanding all aspects of solar and storage financing, tax equity, and other affiliated financing tools and structures. A strong relationship network and ease in modeling tax is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

- Works with senior executives to establish financial and strategic goals for the organization, including financing and investment strategies. Responsible for long-range financial planning and structured finance policies.

- Spearhead company efforts in project investment and project financing of utilities scale solar power plants

- Oversee debt and equity financing

- Work with the Mergers and Acquisitions team to identify and assess opportunities to acquire projects and project pipelines for development

- Participate in planning for future Capital expenditures and financing

- Maintain banking relationships

- Lead the screening, prioritization and due diligence of potential project development opportunities with a view to maximizing commercial value

- Represent the company in exploring new financing or other relationships

- Responsible for all financial aspects of the structured finance department, including internal control, cash investments, working capital, capital expenditures,and taxes.

- Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

- Translating new financial models into replicable model structures with our software engineering team

- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile

- Constructs and monitors reliable structured finance control systems

- Ensures structured finance activities are in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

- Masters degree/ MBA Finance, minimum 15 years of relative project finance experience with a developer/investment firm in the renewable energy space or investment banking track preferably in infrastructure, power/energy/utilities

- Proven ability to quickly and accurately run complex financial models using thoughtful assumptions

- Creativity to transform raw data into presentations with an eye on design and accuracy, while conveying the intended value proposition

- Track-record of working on teams to support energy, infrastructure or real estate projects Outstanding organizational and people skills

- Understanding of engineering and renewable energy systems

- Understanding of project and structured finance
