Role- General Manager Strategy Overall Job Purpose : Responsible for Project Management and Strategy within Area India (India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka). - The objective of this role is to work with stakeholders to develop new models of growth that are inclusive, sustainable, transformative, and collaborative to shape our organization's long-term strategy and develop measures that realize our business and sustainability objectives. Job Specification - Key Accountabilities : Project Management & Strategy: - Monitor, manage and follow up on local, regional and global strategic initiatives. - Constantly evaluate our short and longer-term strategy and ensure strategic deliverables. - Make detailed investment proposals when required. - Manage internal and external stakeholders. - Oversee business projects and ensure they are completed on time and within budget. Also ensure all team members uphold the company's standards throughout each project's development and execution. - Collaborating with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects. - Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables. - Analysing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation. - Providing financial reports and budget outlines to Executives. - Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards. - Drafting new and improving existing project management policies and processes. - Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines. - Accurately documenting the project's creation, development, and execution as well as documenting the project's scope, budget, and justification. - Supporting and guiding senior executive decision-making processes. - Assessing organizational performance, developing achievable goals and implementing processes that improve organizational effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage. - Work closely with Area India and global teams for capability enhancement. - Assist in business development in the front ending as well as for proposals and pitches. - Planning and executing the research and analyses requirements. - Planning, implementing and managing proposed recommendations and projects. - Aligning departmental goals, processes and resource allocation with the organizational strategy. Qualifications and Technical Job Requirements : - MBA from Tier 1 or 2 institute - 6-10 years industry experience in Shipping, Logistic, Supply Chain, Logistics or Infrastructure sectors - Mature with good communication skills - Proven track record in leadership positions - High integrity and ability to manage challenging environments - Experience in business/growth/financial projects - Stay up to date of emerging trends and best practice about sustainability - Understanding of key sustainability issues and how they can be integrated into business to create measurable value - Knowledge of sustainability requirements of local legislation, standards, and international best practice.
