General Manager/Senior General Manager - Legal & Contracts (15-25 yrs)

This is a senior leadership role is with a well-known company based at Ahmedabad with competitive pay.

Role and responsibility:

- Prepare claim raising and mitigation strategy in consultation with claims committee basis identification of claim opportunities and potential claims

- Represent company on litigation matters serving in the best interest of the company

- Ensure detailed analysis of tender documents to identify various risks and unfavorable clauses before bid submission

- Provide legal protection and risk mitigation to the interests and goals of company and act as a prime consult for legal matters to the company

- Review agreements, CADs before circulation and help team to identify critical contractual terms, provisions etc.

- File cases on behalf of the company, review case briefings, monitor litigation status and advise the management accordingly

- Review contractual correspondences of the projects

- Manage all direct and indirect claim events and guide team to ascertain extent of claim in terms of time & cost

- Review & approve the insurance policy and select the appropriate insurer/ broker based on the pre-defined selection criteria

- Manage the dispute resolution through arbitration and ensure process compliance for notice issuance, panel formation, identifying appropriate arbitrator and arbitration proceedings

- Undertake issuance of Associations of Persons/JV/MoU, F&F Agreement, Power of Attorney (PoA) etc. for bidding documents post award

Ideal candidate:

- 20+ years of relevant experience

- Experience of Roads/Highway/Infrastructure projects is must

- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil, LLB will have an added advantage
