General Manager - Sales - Paper/Packaging (10-20 yrs)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Keep a close and continuous watch on major developments in the industry and market Place-Domestic and international.

2. Keep a close tab on competitor's activities; obtain market information, including trends of demand, supply, prices, product performance, discounts, marketing strategies, new product introduction, etc. Recommend and initiate appropriate corrective measures.

3. Closely liaise with mill HOD's who will have administrative control of manufacturing.

4. Pursue innovative product strategies that provide customer's additional benefits along with new product development in line with the marketing plan.

5. Ensure Sales and Collection targets are met as per Sales Plan and maintain adequate sales records and other records.

6. Ensure timely preparation of monthly production planning in consultation with Plant Head.

7. Ensure development of Distributor network and maintain close contacts with all those associated with Packaging Board sales such as Distributors/ Trade, Converters and End Users.

8. Evolve policies relating to Distributor network.

9. Maintain close contactwith key customers.

10. Ensure that all customer complaints are attended to promptly and adequately.

11. Monitor the outstandings of each Distributor and review the same with concerned Branch Heads on a regular basis to keep a check on credit / billing policies, while keeping outstanding to the minimum.

12. To conduct market research from time to time, as and when required.

13. To carry out promotional campaigns to build brand and customer equity, such as customer meets or road shows.

14. Regularly monitor and ensure that other financial responsibilities are effectively discharged by all team members.

15. Ensure optimal staffing and effective utilization of manpower and providing such leadership that enables build and sustain a highly motivated team in all areas and inculcates a spirit of excellence in service to customers
