GM - Sales and Marketing (ICD - Inland Container Depot) Job role : - 15-20 years of experience in sales of containerized cargo in and around the Western India market. Having prior knowledge / experience in following is an added advantage: - Container & Shipping lines - Domestic Cargo - Cargo movement by rail. - Warehousing sales - Responsible for End-to-End Logistics Sales (Container Sales, both EXIM & Domestic in Company logistics facility) at national level & to meet budgeted volumes. - This role will be responsible for strengthening relationships & contracts with key shipping lines & handling shipping clients (BCO's) of ALL and cross and upsell to these customers. - The job includes building ALL's brand and market share ground-up from Adani's new Logistics facility. - Steering the business by gathering market intelligence & optimization of various circuits and terminals Strategic Roles & Responsibilities : - Responsible for building & managing key accounts of shipping lines & increase the market share quickly by proactively contacting customers and relevant stakeholders. - Responsible to make sure that shipping clients' expectations are met through continuous communication, reporting and reviews. - Participate in identifying corporate sales planning and strategies. - Would be responsible for coordinating with all the stakeholders related to container trade, analyze, and understand customer's requirement and offer them best solutions to meet their requirement. - Administer & analyze the volume and profitability dashboards. Identify areas of improvement and execute corrective actions to improve/maintain margins. - Collecting market intelligence about competition movement and identifying new business opportunities. - Improving the profitability of the organization. Operational Responsibilities : - Responsible for execution of sales plan and achieve the sales target assigned. - Maintain long term relationship with old and current shipping customers to generate additional revenue for the organization. - Develop strong customer relationships through regular visits or timely response to their queries. - Responsible for timely submission of best possible proposals/quotations for all enquiries received, by working in coordination with Pricing/ Procurement team, so that customer business can be secured while ensuring good margin for the organization. - Conducting research about the client's background, turnover, strengths, weakness, products through online/offline information (New Customer Acquisition) - Conduct basic marketplace intelligence and research to map business potential of existing customers as wells identify new customers. - Participate in preparing the annual sales budget for Rail & Terminals along with the Head of Sales - Conduct meeting and briefing sessions as required to impart knowledge, integrate team- working, access overall sales performance and updates. - Ensure timely redressal of pre & post sales customer queries, grievances and escalate issues whenever required. - Track multiple tasks with various internal (Terminal, Sales, Rail ops, Customer Service, etc.) and external stakeholders (Lines, Transporters, Customs, etc.) during the customer onboarding process to ensure seamless customer experience. - Provide monthly reports to monitor performance against measures. Technical Skills Needed: Business intelligence, Negotiation Skills, Good hands on experience for MS Office People Management: - Must have strong Customer Service orientation. - Should be a good team player with collaborative approach. - Should have the ability to mitigate conflicts & ability to build consensus to drive results & execute action plans. - Must be a good listener with effective communication skills. - Able to maintain composure while under pressure and/or uncertainty.
