General Manager - Sales & Business Development - Frozen Food (10-15 yrs)

Location : Mumbai
About the Company:
The Company is one of India's leading exporter of frozen food solutions to leading customers in the UK, USA, Australia etc. Exports constitute 85% of the business currently. The Company has a State-of-the-Art plant in Western India built over 60000 sft with over 50 acres- open land and is regarded as one of India's best-frozen food manufacturing facilities. Among other certifications, the plant is BRC AA+ certified, SEDEX, USFDA, EIA & FSSAI. The team over the last 7 years has demonstrated strong Innovation capabilities and delivered a strong top and bottom line. As part of its ongoing growth plans the Company is targeting to build a strong Domestic business with leading QSRs and Institutional customers by leveraging its strong Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Innovation capabilities.
Role & Responsibilities:
- This is a key leadership position and will be a member of the core team of the company with the main objective of assisting in devising Policies & the Framework for business growth within India.
- Achieving Sales Objectives with the assigned Customers; Revenue and Profit Targets
- Leading Business Development by New Customer Acquisition in the desired segment
- Channel Development and Channel Management of the segment
- Key Account Management; Developing Business with International and National QSR / Institutional Customers
- Covering Product Innovation cycle is aligned with the customers
- Ensuring Manufacturing plants, Supply Chain & Customer service is as per Customer specifications
- Ensure that the Company is aligned with the Innovation calendar of the customers
- Providing best in class Customer service to Customers
- Working closely with Innovation team and Manufacturing / Supply Chain & the Quality team and Delivering
- Appropriate Solutions to Customer Needs
Essential Job Functions :
- Achieves Sales Objectives in assigned region
- Develops and maintains a strong relationship with direct customers and channel partners
- Manages actual and potential channel conflict
- Acquires product knowledge by training, self-learning, understanding Equipment- s, usage, Menu analysis, driving brainstorming, Innovation briefs for development, utilizes length and breadth of product lines in maximizing sales revenue
- Coordinates customer product requirements with other departments such as Innovation, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, HR & Quality
- Assists in developing new products participate in market surveys leads new product introduction with the customer's teams
- Participates in Sales planning, provides accurate sales forecasts, makes timely indents, provides MIS to teams as per desired frequency and timeline
- Implements organization and business policies protects and maintains business hygiene
- Provides Market feedback to leadership on competition, customer issues, and market trends

- Team of Chefs, Key Account Management (KAM), Customer Service reporting into this position
- This position is part of the leadership/core team of the company
- External stakeholders being the customers and their teams in the front end.
Candidates from following industries will be preferred :
Reputable MNC / National Food/Beverage Company handling large Institutional customers, Retailers, Foodservice and/or QSR.
Experience :
10-15 years of relevant Industry experience, preferably with demonstrated work experience in building a Food & Beverage businesses with Key accounts
Qualifications :
- Essential - Professional Qualification - Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) / Food Technology / Engineering from a college of repute
- Preferred - MBA/ PGDM in Sales & Marketing from a reputed institution with proven track record in sales and customer development
