General Manager - Quality Assurance - Food Safety (12-18 yrs)
DESIGNATION: GENERAL MANAGER - QA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliances with regulatory bodies
- Review existing SOP and make suggestions for changes and improvements
- Implementation of SOP's where non-existent
- Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards
- Documentation & implementation of FSMS (ISO 22000:2018/FSSC 22000) requirements to ensure audit compliance
- Identify & implement new initiatives to circumvent any Food Safety Risks across the complete Food Supply Chain including but not limited to the Stores, Commissaries (owned and outsourced), Coffee Roastery, Dry & Chilled Trucks and the Warehouses pan India
- Carrying out Stores, Commissaries (owned and outsourced), Coffee Roastery, Warehouses and Supplier audits on a pre-defined and agreed frequency
- Monitor and enforce proper sanitation and housekeeping procedures in Stores, Commissaries (owned and outsourced), Coffee Roastery and Warehouses
- Basic and Advanced food safety training to all partners
- Analysis of customer complaints with detail root cause analysis and corrective action
- Work with own/ outsourced vendors on Quality Complaints - corrective actions, preventive measures. Conduct trend analysis on food complaints
- Ensure Microbiological and chemical analysis is carried out as per FSSAI guidelines for all raw materials/ finished products along with maintaining consolidated data pan India
- Work closely on long term sustainability projects like, Plastic Ban and alternatives; Waste Management etc
- Upgrade system and standards of the business as per ISO and FSSAI requirements
- Monthly QA report to the management on the performance of the QA standards, complaints, audits conducted with scores, trainings conducted, processes implemented
- Measure performance and identify any areas of weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
- Guidelines for store construction and layout to meet the Regulatory and Food Safety requirements
REQUIREMENT:
- Should be a science graduate/ post-graduate with food science or microbiology
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience
- Knowledge & understanding of Food Safety, Legal Metrology, FSSAI & Codex
- Knowledge of Regulatory and Compliance
- Proficient in MS Office
- Certified Internal/ Lead Auditor (HACCP/ISO/FSSC/BRC)
