Client
Our client is a leading supplier of solar energy solutions in India for 10 years and now expanding in Africa too, with more than 150,000 commercial and residential solutions sold- they are an Industry pioneer. Solar panels are manufactured in-house, in its state-of-the-art factory
Role
- To sell larger scale PV projects 20-5000 KW - grid-tied systems
- To identify potential project customers, develop them into prospects, and close orders directly
- PV sales or solar project sales to institutions like hotels, colleges, hospitals, SMEs is the core focus area
- To set up a team and manage them to results
- To work with PV Projects team for design of systems, technical drawings and commercial proposals for project customers
- To liaise closely with Sr.GM Technical and the technical team on final installation and service
- To develop commercial and legal documentation to govern projects, where required by size of projects
- To carefully plan, and execute projects; taking responsibility for total project management
- To ensure that time-lines for project finalization and commissioning as agreed with customers and senior management are always met
- To identify, employ, and manage all sub-contractors required for project implementation
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 12-20 years experience in techno-commercial roles
- Ideally, 8-10 years prior experience in the solar industry, if not more
- Proven track-record in handling a business / department with bottom line responsibility
- Prior experience in handling large-scale projects and key accounts
- Ideally, will have broader commercial background
- Highly methodical, with demonstrated capabilities for overall project management
- Strong leader - able to manager senior members of the management team
- Can present himself / herself well and properly represent the company
- MBA is plus, but not essential
