General Manager - Project Management - Startup

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

PLANNING & BUDGETING:

- To forecast the Projects capex, sales revenue and sales volume targets for CGD businesses on PAN India basis.

- To plan and develop a strategy for exploring new opportunities for business growth and potential areas for the expansion of the CGD networks.

- To prepare the overall strategy/business plan and budgets for construction for CGD businesses.

- To liaise with the necessary statutory bodies and government authorities at the Cites for CGD ( approvals and clearances) project work.

- To prepare the overall strategy/business plan and budgets for the projects, operations and maintenance of the assets at the cities for CGD.

- To create and monitor adherence to the Capex & Opex Budgets for the year at the cities.

PROJECTS:

- To review the project designs received from the Architect/consultants and provide site specific inputs where required, including information on site clearance and selection.

- To ensure adherence to all established procedures at the Project sites.

- To monitor adherence to the Project plan, designs, budgets and timelines and ensure no/reduced cost overruns.

- To resolve any critical/technical issue with regard to the execution of projects activities at the Cities .

- To review the SLAs for the contractors and monitor their adherence .

- To review the daily progress report and conduct monitoring visits for the construction and installation.

OPERATIONS & MAINTAINENCE:

- To monitor the adherence to the Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities of the CGD infrastructure at the cities

- To ensure adherence to timelines, quality, cost and HSE aspects

- To ensure that contractors report all hazards / accidents and unsafe acts in a timely manner, regular inspections are conducted for identifying any unsafe/hazardous conditions, and corrective actions are taken immediately

- To plan the implementation and maintenance of the SCADA set-up at the city and ensure the integration of the existing and new CGD infrastructure

- To oversee the establishment of the Main Control Room (MCR) and determine Manpower (with resources) throughout the city to manage CGD network

- To monitor and ensure the smooth functioning of the MCRs and operational cost optimization in respective areas

- To ensure the security of the CGD infrastructure throughout the city through security contractors

- To ensure efficient spares, stores management and coordinate for store audits, if required

- To review the SLAs for the contractors and monitor their adherence

HSE & QUALITY :

- To ensure that all the employees, especially the Project and O&M teams, are familiar with the HSE policy and monitor adherence to this policy

- To coordinate with the HR, Vendors and Management for ensuring regular trainings are conducted for the staff at the cities

- To periodically visit project sites for identifying any unsafe/hazardous conditions and take corrective action to address these conditions

- To ensure the preparation of the necessary documentation for assurance/completion of various quality standards as required

SALES GROWTH & SERVICES :

- To ensure that the sales revenue and sales volume targets at the city are met for CGD business for cities

- To represent Company on various public platforms as a part of branding and promotional initiatives at the cities

- To brainstorm new initiatives for increasing consumer satisfaction in increasing sales volumes with CGD and Marketing Team

- To monitor the customer service functioning and ensure prompt response to customers from all the existing stations

- To ensure timely and satisfactory redressal of all customers- queries and ensure any escalated cases/grievances are addressed

SUPPORT FUNCTIONS :

- To review the quarterly and annual budget statements for the cities

- To ensure compliance to all statutory obligations at the cities

- To sign-off on the manpower plan for the cities with HR and Management

- To conduct the final interviews of potential candidates for critical positions

- To monitor the implementation of new Technical advancement/ initiatives CGD projects and ensure adherence to timelines and estimated budgets

- To review all the MIS- prepared at the Cities before submission to management /authorities

LIAISONING :

- To liaise with the government and other statutory authorities for obtaining the approvals and ensuring smooth functioning of operations at the cities

- To liaise with the Chief Controller of Explosives (CCOE) for getting approvals, renewals as required

- To liaise and network with potential agencies in the cities for smooth coordination during any exigency

DEVELOPMENT OF TEAM MEMBERS :

- To coach and develop staff by identifying their training needs and providing adequate training

- To conduct performance appraisals for team members

- To motivate and align team members for achieving department and units objectives

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS :

The ideal candidate will be a fast tracker and with Minimum of 15 years of experience in Quality.
