General Manager - Product Development - Structure Team

- Working with VP & Head Design on growing the Division & Dept.

- Working on new strategies of delivery and innovation

- Product Development and Visioning for the organisation

- Peer group management, Talent Acquisition and Management

- Understanding the organisation, understanding flagship projects and initiating actions towards conciliation and closure of projects and issues by bringing parties to consensus. Demonstration of high standard of technical knowledge and solution-finding skills.

- High order skill in handling, evaluating and proofing work using all technical software, calculation matrices and IMS software like MS office.

- Develop close interaction with peer group to enable navigating department goals and objectives across various departments for timely closure. Motivate reportees and other team members in achieving their goals effectively and on time.

- To develop standard operating practices in ensuring seamless integration and timely deliveries.

- Work with reportees in generating project delivery strategies, assess strengths and weaknesses of project teams within the dept., work out mitigating strategies.

- Develop Look-ahead scenarios in ensuring timely course corrections which are critical for dept. operations.

- Overall responsibility of ensuring timely and accurate deliveries by the structure department in tandem with other divisions within the dept. Also, to take cognisance of other internal customer and stakeholder requirements.

- Participate in external consultant selection process.

- Conduct regular mission-meetings to ensure work is in progress as scheduled, ascertain future slippages and initiate corrective actions in advance and ensure reportees work out revised delivery schedules and monitor the same for implementation. Asses effectiveness of such plans and report back the same to the reporting manager.

- Engage external consultants in crucial meetings to enhance service levels.

- Work on Product Development based on projects initiated at organisation.

- Developing & presenting feasibility studies for new typologies/ projects.

- Studying market trends and research of Indian & Global industry practices.

- Participate in selection process of external consultants & communicating with appointed consultants through the cycle of project.

- Continuous Assessment of external consultant for service quality levels.

- When needed, lead a team to develop and deliver in-house designs and details.

- Work in tandem with sourcing team to ascertain new products and develop real time data-based for constant improvement of company's product. Undertake field reviews, factory assessments etc. to assimilate data on products.

- Visit sites on delivery discussions, assess/ascertain issues & develop solutions & issue drawings with consent from reporting managers.

- Record the learnings from each project & communicate to other team members for continuous improvement.

- Ensure adherence of Design to Project Budget and Estimates.

- Constant vigil over design changes and timely decisions to ensure adherence to approved budget.

- Develop man-power deployment and productivity tools to assess burn rates of team members and their effectiveness.

- Constant Value - Engineering and Value creation strategies and develop feasible design proposals for the same.

- Self-starter, articulate and organised on deliveries.

- Highly evolved social and people skills.

- Should be keen to develop a strong team to enable delegation of responsibilities and ensure team's success by working with them and mentoring them.
