JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a GM- Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management, your responsibilities would be as follows:

- Responsible for strategic sourcing for the company.

- Identifying and developing key suppliers/vendors for various raw materials/hardware items within India and outside India. Reliability and sustainability of the vendors are of paramount importance.

- Defining and executing the vendor selection process considering the supply of quality products at the right price.

- Updated with market trends by effectively networking with internal / external stakeholders for driving efficiency through innovative processes and systems.

- Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.

- Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.

- Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.

- Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations.

- Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.

EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

What we are looking for:

- MBA/Engineering with experience in vendor development and sourcing roles.

- Excellent negotiation skills and deep understanding of sourcing strategy.

- Implemented sourcing strategy in the current org or previous organizations

- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to work under tight timelines and pressure.

- Working knowledge in BI tools, excel and financial systems.
