We are having an opportunity with a leading MNC in Pharma / Chemical Industry:

General Manager - Plant Operations

- Location: Panoli, Gujarat

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Chemical engineering)/ M.Tech (Chem. Engg.)

- Experience: 15 - 20 years of experience with at least 5 years as the Head of Operations

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of pharmaceutical/Fine Chemical Industry is preferable & Good understanding of Safety and Environmental requirements

Skills/Competencies

- Adequate Knowledge on cGMP guidelines of various markets

- In-depth knowledge of safety in chemical processes and operations

- In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance and engineering design

- Knowledge regarding Government regulations and interaction with Government officials

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

General Manager - Panoli Plant Operations is responsible to plan, organize, direct and run the Panoli Plant to deliver high-quality products exceeding customer requirements while complying to EHS&S and Statutory/Regulatory requirements to achieve the commercial objectives for the site as per the business plans, ensuring that the site is moving towards and meeting the strategic objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Planning and organizing all resources to ensure delivery of quality products in time with the optimum cost

2. Compliance to Regulatory/Statutory and EHS&S requirements for the site

3. Fulfilling the resource requirements of the various departments at Panoli with respect to manpower, equipment and all other materials

4. Ensure imparting of technical training and creating a good environment at the site to allow the workforce to work motivated and to reduce attrition & improve productivity.

5. Ensuring cGMP implementation at the site (conduct meetings, Site Management Review, provide resources, etc.) as per the Quality policy.

6. Improve Productivity by providing necessary resources, coordination and guidance.

7. Ensuring efficient (in terms of cost and quality) and timely absorption of new technologies in order to improve product offering as per site objectives and customer requirements

8. Liaising (with peers and outside agencies) to meet business objectives

9. Align plant level functions and initiatives to collaborate and integration of efforts to achieve common goals.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC/ON-GOING FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensure proper coordination between the different departments to enable the site to deliver in terms of Product Quality, Quantity, Cost and Safety

2. Controlling the site expenses to be within the site operating a budget.

3. Ensuring the good upkeep of the site (infrastructure, m/c, equipment and housekeeping)

4. Ensure that entire site objectives for EHS&S and training are met

5. Create a work environment that promotes safety, people training and development
