General Manager - Operations - Smart Card Solutions - Driving Licenses & RC/Telematics Solutions

Position Background:

We are looking for a well-organized Head of operations to oversee activities across various departments for the upcoming Smart Card Solutions for Driving Licenses and RC & Telematics Solutions .

The responsibilities of a head of the department include formulating strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing the implementation of IT systems. You should also design policies and ensure that customer service is up to standard.

The Operations Head is a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the member of the board

Job Description:

Operations Manager's is responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control, Distribution, Customer satisfaction and safety measures.

The job responsibilities are:

- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends

- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions

- Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline employees

- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions

- Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes

- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

- Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labour to revenues

- Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval responsibility for all operations employees

- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site.

- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints

- Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.

- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings

- Work closely with the inventory manager and team to perform analysis of our inventory and ensure we are utilizing our inventory effectively, purchasing the right equipment, maintaining solid inventory data and reduce sub-rental expenses

- Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations

- Develop robust distribution & Logistic network for PAN India distribution, Sales & customer satisfaction

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Engineering degree along with MBA preferably in Operations Management and/or Industrial Engineering

- >15 years' proven experience as a operations head working with Automotive or Manufacturing industry

- Proficiency in English, multilingual will be an added advantage

- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures

- Ability to ensure manufacturing excellence & manage a large field force for distribution, relationship development

- Sound knowledge of Logistic management of a large & complex distribution network will be an added advantage

- Management of Industrial relationship with workmen, field staff as well as Govt Depts. & enforcement agencies
