General Manager - Operations - Plastics

The incumbent's primary role will be to manage the Group's entire manufacturing operations and support the Managing Director in implementing the company's strategic plan and to deliver prudent profit growth. In addition to excellent operational experience in the plastics and/or packaging manufacturing industry, candidate must have strong financial management, HR and ERP expertise. The major focus will be :

1. With the support of the Managing Director, implement the Company's strategic plan, annual business plans and other operational documents

2. Manage the Company's performance prudently to ensure healthy financial position, increased cash flows and high return on investment

3. Provide visionary leadership and direction to the Company's workforce and create a conducive work environment for attracting, retaining and motivating employees

4. Spearhead the formation and implementation of best practice policies and procedures, including measuring and improving all internal and external processes and operational infrastructure, to enhance operational efficiency

5. Promote a risk awareness culture at the Company and enforce compliance to internal monitoring and control procedures

6. Act as a Deputy to the Managing Director at Board and Committee meetings

7. Create and maintain a positive public image of the Company and its promoters

Technical Skills: Blow molding, injection molding and pet

Presentable, good people management skills with external outlook, hunger to perform, ability to work under a performance oriented work culture

The candidate should have exposure of Kaizen and other GMP practices.

The candidate should have excellent communication & interpersonal skills to stomers network amongst the business communities, influence customers and internal stakeholders
