GM Operations- OEM in Bath and Plumbing accessories (Plastic/PVC based) The person should have experience of Injection Moulding and Extrusion processes and from plastic or PVC background. The person should have handling a P&L of INR 600+ cr through multiple plants (&gt;=2) Responsibilities : GM operations will act as a plant manager for the parent plant at Delhi NCR and will be responsible for the management of a wide variety of departments at plant level for five plants spread PAN India. The person must be knowledgeable in the manufacturing operations and the needs & capabilities of each department at plant level. Duties : - GM Operations is responsible to prepare reports for the COO on the day- to- day activities in each department at plant level. The reports should evaluate the performance of each department at plant level, including whether they met production goals and budgets. - Responsible to suggest and monitor the resource department managers need at plant level, such as funds, labour and equipment, to ensure they meet their goals. - Conduct regular meetings with department managers to remain up to date on the status of each area of the production/manufacturing/Operations. - Should be very good in data analysis, MIS analysis to identify the problems and their solution by digging various MIS prepared by multiple plants and multiple departments. Skills : Head of Plant Operations/GM operations should be a strong leader with the ability to manage upper management employees and provide direction for workers at all levels. The position also requires strong decision- making and problem solving skills as well as time management skills to monitor and evaluate the performance of multiple departments. Should have knowledge of SHE issues for the product line. Very good in analysing data / info / situation, should have skills to weigh risks and rewards. Problem solving skills for analysing the problems. Qualification : The person should be from Engineering background, preferably a B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech/M.E. in Chemical/Plastic/ Mechanical/Production/electrical/C&I from a Recognized Engineering college/Institute. Key Result Area : 1) Responsible to execute the annual and monthly production plan and the corresponding budgets for pipe & fitting, water tanks production across 5 plants 2) Ensure production targets are achieved within defined budget, quality and safety standards 3) Oversee that the scheduled plant maintenance activities are carried from time to time 4) Undertake the new projects and continuous improvement initiatives from time to time 5) Ensure adherence to EHS , statutory and other compliances 6) Ensure optimal capacity utilization of plant machineries and manage inventory levels 7) Oversee implementation of best and consistent practices to ensure standardization across the 5 plants 8) Develop people capabilities within the department by providing guidance whenever required Major Activities : 1) Implement and execute the SKU wise annual production plan for pipes and fittings, water tanks and other products, keeping in mind the market demand and the plant's capacity optimization, for pipes and fittings in consultation with the plants heads and others relevant stakeholder and present the plan to the senior Management for approval 2) Contribute to prepare the annual plant budget basis the production plan and present the plan to the senior management for their further assessment. 3) Implement the monthly production plans in consultation with the PPC department and the Plant Heads. Recommend changes in the production plans, as and when required, to ensure optimal capacity utilization of plants 4) Monitor and ensure that the production targets are achieved within defined budget, quality and safety standards. Ensure availability of resources required to achieve the production targets 5) Monitor implementation and effectiveness of routine and preventive maintenance activities for manufacturing and utility equipment. Recommend and implement corrective actions as required 6) Oversee the implementation of continuous improvement projects at the plant level. Conduct the cost benefit analysis for the initiative undertaken 7) Analyse production efficiency reports and variances on volumes, budget, quality and safety from time to time and recommend key changes to the plant heads of 4 other plants 8) Active contribution in the TPM implementation going on at mother plant Delhi NCR and preparation of the roadmap for other plants to adhere the best lean activities for manufacturing and plant operations. 9) Kaizen and continuous improvement at plant level 10) Monitor implementation and manufacturing effectiveness of new machine trails and commissioning of new project undertaken at plants 11) Oversee warehouse operations and ensure optimal inventory turnover ratio across all plant location (including the first responsibility for mother plant at Delhi NCR 12) Recommend policies and programs to ensure a positive employee relations climate at the mother plant and execute under the guidance provided for top management. 13) Recommend recruitment and promotions for his team. Coach and assist in developing a strong second line and provide functional guidance as and when needed. 14) Decisive and controlling involvement in New product development, product enhancement activities, quality assurance, plant maintenance, PPC, production and dispatch activities at mother plant and other plants.
