Role and Responsibilities : - Project Management : Planning, estimating &amp; scheduling projects involving detailed engineering activities, finalisation of requirements and specifications. Supervising the analysis of results / data &amp; preparing project reports. - Metallurgical Operations : Studying process and suggesting development of components with respect to metallurgical inputs. Preparing process flow chart and control plan for development components. Strengthening existing vendor source. - Process Validation : Analyzing various processes / applications and recommending modifications to enhance operational efficiency. Devising cost saving measures &amp; modifications to achieve substantial reduction in terms of man-days, production cost, raw material &amp; energy consumption. To ensure the preparation of right machining program and tools selection as per customer requirement (including new developments). - Production &amp; Rejection Gap Analysis &amp; action plan - To prepare &amp; follow safe operation procedure (SOP) of CNC machines and to achieve targeted production. - Testing / Inspection/ Quality : Testing of the methods to ensure that they are precise, reproducible, "fool-proof" and specific to the product. Developing standards for Inspection of materials. Participation in preparation, development and maintenance of Quality Management System. - Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques / measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in operational cost. Identifying bottlenecks and process problems for production shortfall for taking corrective action. - Measurement of Performance : Weekly performance review, OEE review. - To plan yearly budget and plan the goals both for future projects and the present setup. - To ensure the implementation of improvement schemes, Kaizen, pokayoke, SPC / SQC, 5S and TPM and small group activities in the company Qualifications and Education Requirements : Education&nbsp;: BE/M Tech Experience : 25 years, preferably with a background in metallurgy and a background in Aluminum casting Preferred Skills : &nbsp; - Knowledge of Legal compliance related to factory, labour &amp; liasoning with govt. body - Knowledge of metallurgy and aluminum alloy die casting in GDC, LPDC, HPDC, heat treatment of casting &amp; shot blasting - Knowledge of low pressure die casting - Defect Management - Team building ability - Forward-planning and strategy - Problem-solving and administrative skills
