General Manager - Legal - Retail (11-17 yrs)
- Responsible for the Legal function of the Centre, identifying, anticipating and mitigating legal risk.
- Responsible for drafting and vetting of various commercial documents, Lease Deeds, Leave & License Agreements, etc.
- Drive the legal negotiations personally with key clients like anchors/national brands along with Centre Director/VP- Leasing and oversee legal negotiations with other mini anchors.
- Draft and contribute to the preparation of standard agreement and other document templates of the Company.
- Represent the Company before various regulatory authorities/Courts of law for resolution of any legal issues
- Ensure effective litigation management of all cases - identification, appointment and management of external counsel, filing of cases and monitoring their progress, and provide timely updates to the management.
- Ensure safe custody of all original documents executed by the Company.
- Ensure adherence to internal control systems (legal audit) to ensure that the set quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure generation of weekly MIS and closely control and monitor critical transactions.
- To update management with relevant legal updates impacting the business
