A very well reputed Real Estate Consulting firm is looking to hire a General Manager Legal for their Mumbai location. This person will be responsible for overall Legal operations of the Organization Experience - 10 - 20 years Educational Qualification : - Bachelors' degree in any discipline/LLB - Masters' degree in Law /LLM - Desired Job description: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Identify, anticipate & mitigate legal risk including deal structuring, land buy, sale agreements, lending, borrowing, etc - Draft & vet various commercial documents, Lease Deed, Conveyance, Mortgage Deeds, etc. - Due diligence of the property issuing, title certificates preparation of MOU for the purpose of the acquisition of property Sale Deeds, Agreement for Sale, Lease Deeds, Partnership Deed, Leave & License, Development Agreements Industrial/commercial properties. - Development Agreements, opinion on the acquisition of the property, and various other deeds concerned with the property opinion on litigation cases related to properties and other assignments. - Legal field with Real Estate land acquisition and Construction Advising the Company on the various legal issues related to properties SRA, SEZ, etc - To obtain the latest 7/12 extracts, Property card, NA Orders and tax receipts, Commencement etc. - To independently handle Regn. & Compliance of RERA Act - Develop policies and internal processes as per the RERA. - Acts as an independent review and evaluation body to ensure that compliance - Issues/concerns within the organization are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved as per the norms of RERA. - Monitors and as necessary coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and identify trends as per RERA. - Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk as per RERA, develops corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. - Provides reports regularly, and as directed or requested, to keep the senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts. - Liaise with regulatory authorities on RERA matters and address the concern on any notices about RERA from the authorities. - Works with the Human Capital Department and others as appropriate to develop effectively compliance training on RERA to the internal stakeholders. Other requirements : - Knowledge of Real Estate Market desirable - Detail oriented, mature, self-motivated and highly organized - Good communication and Interpersonal skills - Ability to network with Advocates/Solicitors/Counsels/outside agencies/Govt. Authorities/ etc. as and when required - Drafting in English is must.
