General Manager - Legal - Real Estate (17-25 yrs)

- Proven capabilities in handling legal complications pertaining to litigation, non-litigation, land acquisition, dispute settlement, etc.

- Well conversant with land laws (especially the local laws), RERA and laws pertaining to development of SEZ.

- Extensive experience of variety of legal documentation (various deeds & documents).

- Handling all litigations of the company with co-ordination of external solicitors and counsels and briefing counsels. Representing Company in legal proceedings/litigation before various Judicial & Quasi-Judicial Authorities including RER Authority.

- To vet and finalize drafts of agreements/documents with respect to acquisition of new projects for the development of residential/non-residential projects.

- To approve and finalize various drafts of litigation affidavits/ writs/petitions/replies etc., to be filed before various courts with assistance of external Law Firms/Solicitors etc.

- Advising and giving preliminary report on property acquisition, conducting due diligence, scrutinizing title certificate and steps required to comply with for purchase of property, preparing the required documents.

- To provide sound and timely advice on all issues concerning the Company, litigation management, management of advocates/ solicitors, apprising new developments/ legislations pertaining to the Company to the attention of senior management, advise respective departments for fulfilment of statutory requirements, etc.

- To provide legal advice in structuring and drafting/ vetting of all contracts/Agreements/Conveyance & Development agreements and other sales/CRM documents relating to the Company and to participate in associated negotiations.

- Review and implementation of all the Legal / Law Enforcing Documents pertaining to charge creation & security creation with an intention to secure the best interest of the organization.

- Ensuring issuance of notices/reply to the notices, vetting internal group company agreements, affidavits, letters, company resolution, general/specific general Power of Attorney and applications to Government Departments and Regulatory bodies.

- Drafting legal documents such as Memorandum of Understanding, Joint Development Agreement, Joint Venture Agreement, Shareholder Agreement, Share Purchase Agreement, Agreement for Sale, Sale Deed, Conveyance, Leave and License, Lease, Tender documents, Marketing Agreements, Project management consultancy agreements, powers of attorney, Bank guarantees and indemnities, title transfer deeds, etc.,

- Provide inputs and support to the Business Development, Sales, CRM and other divisions of the organisation.

- Develop strategy for litigation and regulatory proceeding.

- Assist the head of the legal department with administrative or legal matters, including the planning, organizing and managing of work activities related to the Company

- Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization and develop strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce potential areas of risk.

- Advising on transactions, agreements for stamp duty, registration issues, on all aspects of strategic planning, disputes in the real estate, land purchases.

- Ability to interact with Senior Management and handle portfolio independently.
