Major Purpose of the Job : 1) Apprising effectiveness of system &amp; Internal Controls by effective co-ordination with outsourced Internal Audit firm, assessing effective use of resources. 2) Identifying significant areas by reviewing operations to ensure compliances, Controls, Savings and prompt Integrity. 3) Assessing reliability and accuracy of information through SOP- s, 4) To play the role of finance controller to have better control on certain expenses eg. Purchase etc.. Job Context : In house Internal Audit (IA) department has been established at the corporate level to carry out internal audit of the entire Group of Companies with the following objective: - Ensuring better coordination with the outsourced IA firm from the start of their audit work to finalizing &amp; implementing their findings/recommendations to ensure maximum coverage and benefit to the Group. - It provides special audit service for revealing those avoidable expenditures, which otherwise have been done in line with the Policies / prevailing practices and deliver overall value to the organization. - It reviews SOP's for various business processes and suggests for removing control gaps. - It prepare concurrences &amp; verify purchase &amp; audit expenses. - It performs IA work under the guidance of the Group CFO / Audit &amp; Finance Committee. Responsibilities : - Ensure that outside IA audit firms are executing audit extensively, covering all areas as per the scope at the assigned business units for audit. The objective is to assist management in controlling risks, monitoring compliances, improving the systems &amp; prompt integrity. - Ensure effective coordination with outside audits firms &amp; discuss their findings (fully substantiated by shreds of evidence) with respective functional heads, follow up their comments and then ensure its implementation in a time-bound program and on a sustainable basis. Co-ordinate quarterly audit report presented by the outside audit firm to the Board. - Ensure SOP's are updated and effective/statutory compliance. - Compilation and ensure effective exception reporting on audit reports submitted by IA at C&amp;S location also review the controls on expiry items. - Keep control on expenses budget for Purchase &amp; IA function, improve over existing Internal Control processes and report deviations, if any. - Ensure physical Verification of all major Raw Material, Packing Material, Finished Goods, Fuel, and Finished Goods on the quarterly/annual basis. - Ensure Physical Verification of the fixed assets on an annual basis. - Special Audit: Carry out special audit as required by the management time to time and produce desired results. - Any other actions and responsibilities as agreed with Management
