General Manager - Inside Sales/B2B Sales - BFSI (6-14 yrs)

Role Description :

We are an early stage company which means we are just getting started! This not just an opportunity to be part of the startup journey but help shape the journey by building things from scratch. We are looking to hire a 'General Manager - Inside Sales' who can build and lead the overall sales function. This is a high-impact & critical role to drive the top line of the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and lead a high performing inside sales team (Customer Ninjas) -

- Own the hiring process of 'Customer Ninjas'

- Setup the training process, incentive structure & quality monitoring mechanism

- Work closely with each member to understand the potential, motivate and get the best out of each one

Revenue owner :

- Responsible for the overall sales target, drive team performance by closely working with the front-line team

- Liaise with other teams like school sales and activation team to drive the top of the funnel leads

- Identify & surface operational issues to solve to continually increase sales productivity

- Core team member - work closely with founders on sales targets planning and goal setting for the sales team

What are we looking for?

- High sense of ownership - Personally own the targets, feel that the buck always stops with you, not averse to doing customer calls yourself if need be

- Data driven - Heavily rely on data to analyse situations and take decisions

- High EQ - Ability to empathize as well as get the best out of front-line sales team

- Target-oriented & passionate about sales - Always thinking targets backwards, relentless about over-achieving targets

- Intellectual honesty - Seeking and presenting truth irrespective of personal beliefs

- Mission-oriented - Deeply care about delivering value and making an impact on customer's lives

- Hungry to learn and grow - Passion to learn & be a better version of oneself; motivated to succeed

Desired Qualifications :

- 6-12 yrs of experience in building and leading sales teams in high quality organizations

- Track record of outperformance / over-achieving targets in previous work places

- Prior experience in setting up sales function from scratch is a huge plus

- Prior exposure to financial services is a plus

- Pedigreed educational background is preferred
