General Manager/Head - Sales - Building Materials - West (18-20 yrs)
Position: GM-Head Sales (West) (Building Materials Co)
Role:
- This is a Zonal Sales Head role for the West Zone
- The position is accountable to grow sales and increase market share in the Zone by effective customer segmentation
- Leading the team and inspire people so that they give their best at work. There will be Regional Sales Managers and a total team of 20 reporting into this position
- Managing the distribution network and all the activities related to channel development and retailing
- Guiding the sales team to generate business through key accounts and institutional segments
- Ensure strong presence in all the key accounts of such as architects, builders, corporate(s) and consultants
- Responsible for the execution of marketing strategies in the zone
- Responsible for doing market intelligence and competitor analysis on a continuous basis
Requirements:
- BE + MBA
- 18-20 yrs of experience having strength in Retail & Distribution with appreciation towards marketing/brand management
- Should have worked, preferably in the building materials, or a related Industry
- Incumbent should have an experience of managing large geography with an excellent track record in generating results through retail and distribution network
- Experience in B2B Sales is required
- Consumer marketing skills will be preferred
- Should have experience in growing the business in his/her earlier stints
- Good people management skills
