We are looking for senior candidates with 20+ experience as business Head from the Steel / Forging industry. 1. The candidate is the Head of the Strategic Business Unit (SBU). 2. GM has all the necessary authorities for taking the decisions in line with the Approved Authority Matrix. 3. GM reports to Group Chief Operating. 4. GM also gets all the support from the Group Functional Heads. GM is a Single Point Reporting position. 5. The candidate has a primary role as an independent Entrepreneur responsible for the Value Creation for the Group through the financial performance of taking appropriate decisions & actions. 6. He has a role of a Leader who Guides-Mentors-Directs the Team for the overall performance. 7. He needs to establish his credentials as an Engineer for the various Technical Matters & an Accountant for the Cost Controls. 8. GM has the role of a Head of the Family as the business has a small factory operating at one location. Key Competencies: 1. Expert Level in the Hot Forging Industry at a senior position/leadership. 2. Experience in the flange manufacturing industry would be a major advantage. 3. Mechanical Engineering: Expert Level. For steering the Team through all the technical matters. 4. Metallurgy: Moderate Level. Metallurgical Testing, NDT, Heat Treatment Processes, etc. 5. QA: Moderate Level. Knowledge of NDT & Metrology. QMS & SPC. 6. SBU Leadership: Strong-Moderate Level. Leadership role for about 5-8 years in a similar industry. 7. Marketing & Sales: Expert-Strong Level. Should have a strong commercial acumen & an ability to foresee business opportunities. Should be willing to take moderate business risks to realize the business opportunities & connect with the customers effectively. 8. Costing & Accounting: Moderate Level. Should have a good understanding of the cost estimations for the products & services. Should have a clear understanding of the basic accounting methods including the P&L Accounts &; Balance Sheets. 9. Excellent interpersonal skills & effective communication skills. 10. Preferably Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy from a reputed University. Additional qualifications such as MBA etc. would be an added advantage. 11. Must have worked in a similar industry for a period of 5-8 years minimum as the head of the organization. Total work experience of about 20 years. 12. Preferred age in the range of 45 to 50 years. Can be relaxed in case of the candidate meeting & exceeding the other requirements of the position. 13. Language: Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of Arabic added advantage.
