Designation: General Manager Finance

Reporting: Finance Gnrale (France) & CEO

Location: Mumbai, Andheri - Marol

Industry: Gems & Jewellery/Luxury segment

Education: Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)

Experience: 10+ years (Minimum 5 years in Retail Industry)

Role:

We are looking for an experienced General Manager - Finance to manage cash flow, develop and implement financial processes, manage relationships with financial institutions, and identify and mitigate financial risks

Key Responsibilities:

1- Accounts & Finance

- Overseeing & managing the accounts payable and the accounts' receivable function.

- Finalizing the balance sheet and presenting the MIS as per the decided cost sheet and schedule

- Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

- Run revenue and expense variance analysis

- Identify the risks and mitigate them

- Routinely review revenue cycle to identify and address issues affecting overall performance proactively, handling internal audits

- Maintain good relationships with the bankers

2- Compliance & Legal

- Ensure company complies with tax laws and regulations specific industry and region

- Liaise with lawyers and auditors, Legal agreement reviews

3- System & Automation

- Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluate the finance team and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency. Eg: ERP

4- Team Management & Training

- Mentor and develop a team managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic

5- Other Tasks

- Handling Inventory and Customs related aspects

- Capital expenses/ fixed asset-related aspects

The incumbent will be required to collaborate with the following people:

1- With Secretary General: (Group CFO)

- Finalize balance sheet/AC payable receivable, Compliance, Global structuring of the company, Banking, and fundraising-related requirements

2- CEO & Board of Directors

- Balance sheet, MIS, Cashflow, Financial annual objectives

3- With the Director of Business Finance plus Governance

- Budgets and forecasts, recommendations, Balance Sheet & MIS

4- Functional Heads

- Payments, reimbursement, budgets, Approvals, revenue cycle, compliance

5- Business Finance

- Collaborate with the Business Finance Director in order to assess and evaluate the financial performance of an organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Provide insights and recommendations for the organization's short-term and long term growth plans.

- Strong Analytical Skills: A GM Finance should possess excellent analytical abilities to assess financial data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on financial insights.

- Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically is crucial for a GM Finance as they need to align financial goals with the organization's overall strategic objectives and provide guidance on financial planning and risk management.

- Leadership and Communication: Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for a GM Finance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, articulate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, and lead the finance department towards achieving organizational objectives.

- Integrity and Ethical Conduct: As a custodian of financial information, a GM Finance must maintain the highest ethical standards, display integrity, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

- Adaptability and Resilience: The finance landscape is dynamic, and a GM Finance should be adaptable to changing business environments, be resilient in the face of challenges, and possess the ability to find innovative solutions to financial issues.
