Position : General Manager Finance & Accounts

Work Location : Chennai

Qualification : Graduate with ACA / ICWA - Qualified ONLY

Experience : 15 +years of experience in Finance & Accounts ONLY in Manufacturing Companies

Age : NOT more than 50 years

Reporting to : VP Operation

Functional Skills :

- Expert Knowledge of Accounting, Financial Management, Auditing and Commercial and Trade related Laws and Practices.

- Good Working Knowledge of ERP, Spread sheets and other related business software.

Management skills :

- Overall commercial knowledge in conceptualizing & evaluation of projects knowledge of all statutory related aspects which governs business and industry

Objective :

Enable, Sustain and Enhance the Finance Function to realize the objectives and goals of the organization.

Prime Responsibilities :

- Ensuring efficient and effective transaction processing and recording enabling reliable reporting of financial information.

- Building Annual Capital & Revenue Budgets with granularity and reporting performance against the budgets.

- Providing Management Information Reports on various parameters on a consistent basis which are attention directing and analytical in nature with emphasis on exceptions.

- Ensuring proper compliance of accounting standards and internal controls. Ensure proper custody of assets of the organization.

- Conduct periodic physical verification checks on all fixed and current assets.

- Ensuring compliance of all statutes in relation to Direct Taxes and Indirect Taxes.

- Ensuring proper filing of reports to external bodies wherever it is mandated by the statute or any related regulation.

- Interface with all Auditors and ensure proper implementation of all corrective actions.

- Render decision support to Management and other Functions in all business related situations with evaluation done on accepted financial models and methods.

- Facilitate continuous improvements in various financial systems.

- Facilitate the overall professional development of the Finance and Accounts Team

Day to Day Operations :

- Ensuring that all transactions are processed and recorded on an ongoing basis, complying with the rule and regulations laid down by various statutues and applicable standards, and meeting the expectations of all internal and external customers.

- Managing the daily fund requirement and interacting with Banks / Financial Institutions to enable smooth conduct of business.

- Evaluating internal controls on an ongoing basis and ensuring the safeguard of the assets of the company by Perpetual Inventory.

Planning and Review :

- Compilation of Annual Budgets - Capital and Revenue on a consistent basis coordinating will all functions before the beginning of the plan period.

- Reviewing the actual performance vis a vis the budget and preparing variance analysis and asking rate reports on a consistent basis.

Reporting :

- Providing Cost Chains for all products and activities on a consistent basis.

- Ensuring that all reports envisaged as a part of MIS are being compiled and sent within the timelines agreed with the internal customers

- Ensuring that all statutory returns and reports to various statutory bodies and government agencies are filed in time.

Compliance :

- Ensuring compliance of all Direct and Indirect Tax Laws

- Ensuring compliance of other commercial, labour and other local laws wherever there is a remittance to be made regularly

Continuous Improvement :

- Proactively engage in improvement of various processes with the objective of improving efficiency and enhancing the effectiveness of control and reporting.

People :

- Formulate, interact and engage each member of the team for all round development of the team
