They have diversified into areas such as financial services, real estate, hospitality, agri and food, training and capacity building and distribution of telecom/IT products. Job Title : GM Corporate Taxation ( will work closely with promoters) Function : India and Global Taxation Location : New Delhi Role: The Incumbent should be a Chartered Accountant with 12-15 years of experience in handling direct and international tax in a Big 4 or MNC. The role is expected to handle these tasks independently. Key responsibility areas and skills required are outlined below: 1. Strong Domain Knowledge and Technical Skills - Incumbent needs to handle tax matters in multiple jurisdictions, advise on domestic & international issues and cross border transactions. He needs to have expert knowledge in Indian Tax Laws, International tax treaties and practices. Besides he needs to have operational knowledge of tax laws of multiple jurisdictions like UK, Singapore, Mauritius, Netherlands, and other countries - Further, in order to anlayze different facets of business issues/ transactions and provide wholistic guidance, he needs to have working knowledge of other laws like Company Law, Stamp Act, Foreign Exchange Management Act, IRDA regulations etc. 2. Tax compliance& litigation, representation in policy initiatives and advisory support (i) At the outset, the role requires multifaceted skills to handle tax issues related to - (a) Corporate entities (Promoter entities, Overseas entities and Emerging Businesses) - inbound/ outbound investments, repatriation, litigation management and tax compliances etc. (b) Individual Promoters - externalization of funds by individuals, tax residency, Inheritance tax & Estate tax etc. (c) Trusts (Private and Charitable) (d) Entities which are governed by different regulations like Insurance. (ii) Overall responsibility for tax compliances like filing of tax returns, payment of taxes, handling of direct and GST tax assessments at different appellate forums. (iii) Support in making representation to CBDT and Ministry of Finance on direct and indirect tax policy matters. 3. M&A and Fund raising transactions matters.
