General Manager - Corporate HR - Compensation & Benefits - EdTech (15-16 yrs)

Our client is looking for Head - Corporate HR who will be reporting to CHRO. The person will be working for a well-funded EdTech firm, founded in 2011, which is primarily interactive online tutoring platform where teachers provide school tuitions to students over the internet, using a real-time virtual learning environment that is a technology built in-house. It operates on marketplace model for teachers, where students can browse, discover and choose to learn from an online tutor of their choice.

JOB PURPOSE :

- The purpose of this role is to develop and manage compensation strategy, philosophy, policies and governance in alignment with the organization's overall strategic objectives and vision.

- To contribute to growth and profitability by ensuring that pay structures and benefits plans are competitive, and that they are designed and managed to attract and retain a top-quality employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Lead annual compensation processes for salary planning, market analysis and Variable incentive payout, Long term Incentive design and administration.

- Formulate the key assumptions to be used to develop budget of C&B costs, through the analysis of market trends and economic indicators.

- Designing the appropriate pay-mix for different levels of employees and retention programs to arrest attrition of key resources.

- Complete ownership of HR and C&B related policies

- Lead Performance Management System and support BHRs for Performance appraisal processes design and implementation.

- Overall responsibility for conceptualizing, designing and deploying HR Analytics deploying the appropriate cloud based HR system.

- Create monthly/quarterly HR MIS while liaisoning with sites and HR systems for collecting, clean-up of and analyzing data.

- Collaborate closely with the business partners, Functional Heads, Staffing to facilitate attraction, motivation and retention of talent through competitive Compensation and Benefits design and administration.

- Should maintain Management Information System & PMS like HRMIS / Salary MIS and other reports required by Management & CHRO.

- Advise, assist and counsel at all levels, on individual salary management and on compensation related topics. Ensure Compensation & Benefits training programs are delivered to all HRMs.

- Design comp/benefit structures in line with industry practices, managing compensation surveys and benchmarking.

- Evaluating and developing C&B processes and policies to ensure they are current, competitive and in compliance with local legal and taxation rules and regulations.

- Design Rewards & Recognition program for employees to motivate and create a performance and appreciation culture.

- Participates in the design of effective employee incentive programs and variable pay plans that directly support the business strategy and goals.

- Manage service agreements with established providers/consulting companies (consultants, pension actuaries, insurance companies, health care providers etc.) and ensures costs are correctly reviewed and controlled in line with the contractual terms.

- Ensures appropriate research and evaluation of new vendors and leads/participates in the selection process and establishment of service level agreement.

- Develop an efficient result oriented team capable to achieve the targets and goals.

Desired qualification and experience :

- Post Graduate in HR / Certifications in HR

- 15+ years Human Resources experience with minimum 10 years managing Total Rewards from small, medium to large enterprises.

- Exposure with working with start-ups is an added advantage.

- In-depth knowledge and understanding of systems and processes.

- Excellent MS Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), HRMS systems.
