General Manager - Business Development (Undergarment Category/Bag Packs) Reporting To: CEO Supervises: Sr. Managers/Sales Managers Purpose of the Job: - To direct promote and coordinate the business operations in a manner that will help achieve company's mission, objective and goals. - Develop and grow underwear category network through the marketing strategy and responsible for sales, sales operation, Marketing, New Product Launch &amp; Opening New Territory&nbsp; - Develop, maintain and improve organizational efficiency to optimize sales and revenue generation and maximize profitability. - To create in mind of customers, market and business community a positive brand image - Envisage and design different sales channels for maximizing market penetration. - Builds and maintains effective and trusting relationships or networks of contacts with people who are, or may potentially be, helpful in the achievement of goals and establishing advantages in the market sphere. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Strategy: - Develop and execute network market/network development strategy - Develop the brand strategy across the Network - Identify and develop unique selling propositions and differentiators 2. New Business Development: - Research and prospect for new investors to ensure a robust pipeline of engagements within the market - Build relationships with the decision makers within potential investor organisations - Plan deal approaches and pitches - Participate in the negotiation of terms and deal closing - Develop the systems and procedures to enable the effective execution of new business development 3. Sales and operations: - Approving Yearly sales Plan after detailed discussion with Management &amp; Team, after in depth Data Mining. - Deciding Sales Strategies Like Schemes &amp; Promotions to motivate the Channel Partners. - Opening up of new area and appointing distributors. - Keeping Track and Gathering Data about Competitors. - Bringing Focus on Modern trade, to boost the business. - Stream line the sales operation 4. Man power management: - Suggest improvement and redesigning of organization structure based on business requirement - Supervise maintenance of preferred staffing level - Assign employee responsibilities and maintain job descriptions - Develop performance standards and communicate the Key Performance/Result Areas (KPA/ KRA) &amp; Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Ensure and Supervise ongoing Training - Day to day discussion regarding no of counters visited and bookings. - Fixing Yearly Targets, Incentives &amp; Monthly Targets and actual achievements. - Discussions about the area development and appointing distributors. - Checking their expenses and passing their bills 5. Profit center operations/Marketing . - Sales planning - Sales forecasting. - Demand planning. - Giving schedule to production team. - Ensuring smooth supply chain activities. - Inventory management/Liquidation of old stocks. 6. Public Relations - Develop working relationships with other organizations within the business community - Personally and officially represent the company to the business community during meetings or events - Build a positive image of the company 7. Marketing - Prepare and present annual, quarterly and monthly marketing plans with strategies, promotion mix and negotiate with management the budget for the same. - Implement the marketing plan selecting best possible media vehicle while optimizing the cost and benefits within the approved budget - Review and analyze the marketing efforts and make necessary changes in the future plans. REQUIREMENTS: - Qualification: PG/ MBA (Marketing preferred) - Prior Work Experience: minimum 10 years of post qualification - Industry: Retail - popular intimate wear/undergarments brand - Willingness to travel extensively. - Good energy levels - with ability to multiple task and deliver desired results with quality. - Should be able to lead with ideas - Good analytical skills, ability to use MS Excel effectively for driving Brand initiatives. - Ability to see the larger picture - ability to zoom in &amp; zoom out. KEY SKILLS: - Expertise on MS Office and other technological mediums. - Strategic Leadership - ability to drive both short and long-term brand growth and profitability. - Analytical - ability to convert analysis into insights, sustainable strategies, and actionable plans. - Superior Critical Thinking and Problem Solving - resourceful at achieving objectives or results despite obstacles. Able to sort through complex information to identify the core issues and develop a plan of action to resolve them. - Strong communication and influence skills - clear, concise, and persuasive in style.
