General Manager - Business Development - Education (15-25 yrs)

JOB SUMMARY

In partnership with the Market or Line of Business leader, responsible for formulating and implementing the business's marketing and business development strategies based on the strategic directions and targets of the business; lead the marketing business development programs and initiatives, accountable for the deliverables and outcomes, act as a thought partner and advisor to the business lines in their own specific marketing and business development activities.

- Will be responsible for PAN India Business Development for Educational sector

- Building capability to ensure responsibility and leading brokerage services for the education sector for PAN India

- Increasing share of market & driving the same for PAN India

- Connecting with new clients & building new relationships and connects within the sector

- Preferred experience in terms of transactions for Educational institutions

- Minimum 15+ years experience preferably

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for and has full ownership of global Real Estate outsourcing financial modeling and regional outsourcing pursuits. Manages the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials with the pursuit team and national/local marketing professionals, as directed by Executive Leader.

- Establishes corporate relationships with key decision-makers across various organizational levels.

- Leads interactions in a client-facing role in large, global pursuits.

- Prepares and is accountable for the business' marketing and business development budgets.

- Strong understanding of each service line, platform, and value proposition. Often write the executive summary and key themes for major pursuits.

- Coordination and governance of sales activity throughout the sales process including qualification, discovery, proposal, pricing presentation, and negotiation.

- Evaluates industry and business trends and analyses performance and responds with necessary business change.

- Manages and achieves financial, operational and other measures as defined in deliverables and/or KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) established for the client(s) as part of a one-time client engagement or as part of an on-going client relationship.

- Generating leads through a strong network in the Real Estate, International Property Consultants, Local Brokers, Developers, Builders & correlated industries.

- Meeting with prospective corporate clients (B2B) and making a brief presentation of projects executed by the firm.

- Manage activities of commercial brokers & updating management with recent transactions.

- Experiences in managing all phases of sales development cycles, from prospecting and cold calling through detailed presentation & negotiation to closing and follow-up activities.

- Identify, analyze, pursue and report on business opportunities with existing and prospective clients

- Manage multiple projects, prioritize work and balance strategic and tactical issues.

- Ability to work in a team but also prioritize individual workloads according to deadlines.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

- Bachelor's degree (/MBA with 15+ years of experience preferred

- Corporate Business Development experience is a must

- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches, and articles in a pre-designed style and format. Ability to effectively respond to complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees. Team Player, ability to cross - collaborate with various teams across the advisory services platform.

- Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, growth rates, discounts, and other fundamental Excel formulas. Conduct basic financial analysis. Use of financial tools for analytics and problem-solving.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. I may be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends the same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on the utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
