GM - Bid Management

A Multibillion /globally spread & diverse conglomerate , driven by values is looking to hire a General Manager - Bidding & Tendering, a candidate who is self-driven, consultative with 15 - 20 years of experience in Projects Bidding, Quantity Estimation for tendering. The person should be versatile, accomplished & goal-oriented professional with expertise in bidding & tendering to join the Renewable energy business in Mumbai.

Profile Description :

- Strategy formulation at the beginning of financial year and formulate Bidding &Tendering strategy in line with the strategic objectives set by the Organization

- Experience of Bid management, estimation, civil & electrical tendering

- Build risk evaluation process and ideate risk mitigation strategy

- Review and finalize technical and commercial bids before submission

- Identify scope of partnership, potential opportunities/ leads and work towards exploring the same for rapid growth of the company

- Meet key clients on regular intervals to build relationships for repeat business

- Build relationships with government officials, large private corporations to meet revenue targets

- Ensure scenario analysis of RE industry to capture more market intelligence data and understand strategy of competitors/ peers

Analyse Won/Lost bids :

a) To explore reasons for loss

b) To strategise improvement of winnability

c) To explore possibility of improvement in execution process to be more competitive

- Develop sales capability within team and ensure high levels of engagement

- Review the monthly MIS regularly

- Ensure adequate staffing as per department budget ,assess technical competency of existing employees and develop capability through focused training programs

Skills/Experience :

- Professional having completed B.E. / M Tech in Civil

- Basic knowledge cum understanding of Engineering, Design & planning

- Excellent in estimations, Exposure to Renewable Energy industry is a must.

- Good in costing, cost analysis, rate analysis & value engineering

- Establishment of appropriate document control & record maintaining system

- Good Presentation skills/Good oral & written communication

- 15+ years of relevant experience with at least 10 years in a managerial role

- Independence, initiative, flexibility and strong commitment.
