General Manager/Assistant Vice President - Environment - Steel Manufacturing - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

GM/AVP - Environment - Odisha location - Male candidate with MTech/BTech in Environment science with additional qualification of safety from a renowned/premier institute with a min of 20 yrs experience in the environment, safety and health function.

Those having exposure in horticulture, landscaping and latest environment regulations, international and national standards, environmental laws of a large steel or manufacturing industry will be given preference.

Responsibilities :

- Responsible Clean Development Mechanism Projects for reduction of Green House Gases and Pollution Load Assessment for Present & Upcoming Expansions.

- Designing & implementation of Environment & Safety system.

- Technical assistance for operation and monitoring of Effluent Treatment Plant & Pollution control Equipment.

- Conducting Environment & Safety audits of plants.

- Technical liaison with regulatory authorities.

- Preparing various reports / documents for regulatory compliance

- Environment Impact Assessment and Environment Clearance, Public Hearing Presentation expertise in the filed of Industry and Mining for upcoming and existing Steel & Power Projects.

- Liaison activities with premier environmental and other government agencies like Directorate of Factories; MOS, SPCB, CPCB, MoEF, NEERI and NPC etc

- Feasibility, Prepare Specification, Selection of Supplier and successful Implementation of Up-gradation & Modification of Pollution Control Equipment for Air, Water & Noise etc.

- Responsible for accident prevention programs, safety audit, execution and updating of emergency preparedness plan, mock drills, fire prevention & protection, business continuity planning and EH&S training.

- Responsible for handling Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Ministry of Environment & Forest, Government of India for Methodology development, monitoring and analysis of vehicular pollution.

- Experience in SAP R/3s PP, PM module and WSO HSE software and proficient in utilization of all environmental related computer modelling like air pollution and ground water modelling. Knowledge of safety and environmental related computer aided modelling and reporting structures and formats including MSDS.
