General Manager - Accounts & Finance - Manufacturing/Service Industry - CA (12-17 yrs)

Qualification: Chartered Accountant 10 - 12 years of relevant post qualification experience.

Purpose: The role holder is responsible for efficient functioning of Accounts and Finance department. The role holder will maintain accounts and provide data, analysis and reports to the business team to ensure that the business is carried out effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities: These responsibilities are broad areas of work expected from the job holder. It is a collection of vital and essential tasks and responsibilities that the job-holder is responsible to plan, prioritize and execute.

Business Building :

- Responsible for collating data and information from all business lines of the company to prepare the annual business plan / budget, assessment of monthly performance, analysis of variance from budgets, identification of areas for corrective actions and continuous improvement / sharpening of management accounting and reporting systems.

- Providing data / analysis to facilitate decision making in product pricing specially for trading activities, inventory, debtors / creditors, recovery from Principals & other agencies, etc.

Organization Building :

- Ensure proper closing of accounts within the time target specified with due adherence to all statutory requirements and financial standards of the Company.

- Pro-active and continuous contribution to various projects undertaken by the business groups and marketing groups to improve efficiency and profitability viz. establishment of a dealer, agreement with Principal, introduction of a new product etc.

- Managing the financial services such as banking, insurance and taxation required for smooth functioning of the business.

- Coordination with internal and external audits, liaison with government authorities like Income Tax, Sales Tax etc.

- Ensure maintenance of the books of accounts as per rules and regulations.

People Building :

- . Lead and manage a motivated team force by clarifying expectations and providing a learning and supportive work environment

Process Building :

- Design and implement effective systems and processes to ensure smooth functioning of the accounting functioning viz. reimbursement process, on time collection and payment, etc.

- Actively implement the various HR systems and processes.

Commercial Activity/IT/Others :

- Good knowledge of all commercial documents like - contracts, letter of credit, Export/import documentation.

- Should possess the ability to negotiate contracts.

- Risk management, Forex working, Insurance knowledge.

- Should be IT literate and have knowledge of accounting systems in advanced ERP system.

- Should be able to understand and appreciate the business model and the different challenges faced by the business units/groups and sales team.

- Should have strong influencing and persuasive skills to ensure compliance and adherence to the accounting systems and processes

- Compliance mindset/ ability to enforce compliance across the group.

- Ensure proper compliance of ISO guidelines so that there are no quality issues
