Role Summary/Purpose :

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the entire indirect tax function for GE Healthcare for its South Asia region (hereinafter referred as - GEHC).

Essential Responsibilities :

In that regard, he/ she will be responsible for:

- Ensuring that GEHC meets GE policy and compliance standards for the preparation, reporting and timely submission of all Indirect Tax returns.

- Identifying and managing Indirect Tax risks, Litigations, Audits, and opportunities, including an ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with GEHC's external advisors, lawyers, and Government/ tax authorities.

- Identifying and managing simplification and process improvement projects, driving standardization, reducing complexity and driving continuous improvement.

- Monitoring, assessing and clear communication of any changes in law/ regulatory framework impacting the businesses.

This role will report directly to GEHC's Tax Leader and will involve close cooperation and coordination with other counterparts within GEHC's global tax team as well as other colleagues in GEHC finance team.

Qualifications/Requirements :

- CA with 6 plus yrs of experience in Big 4's or 7 plus yrs in Industry

- Proven strong technical knowledge in Indirect tax and a good knowledge of law principles.

- Good understanding of business and the impact of tax analysis.

- A good understanding of tax determination and reporting within ERP systems is preferred.

- Ability to analyze complex indirect tax issues, interpret the practical impact for the businesses and communicate the key risks and technical issues to non-tax professionals including senior finance and commercial teams.

- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary tax team coupled with the ability to build and maintain strong networks within and outside GE
