Role Summary/Purpose :&nbsp; Partner with Functional and Program teams to develop and attain quality goals for LWS segment fleet under management and new product development. Provide leadership, coaching, and training in the practical application of quality methods, tools, processes, and procedures needed to consistently meet segment quality targets. Essential Responsibilities :&nbsp; Partner with Functional and Program teams to develop and attain quality goals for LWS segment fleet under management and new product development. Provide leadership, coaching, and training in the practical application of quality methods, tools, processes, and procedures needed to consistently meet segment quality targets. For New Product Introduction (NPI): - Partner with program managers to select quality CTQs to measure based on VOC, market trends, and historic performance. Ensure targets are clearly documented in the PRD. - Partner with program managers to collect &amp; analyze data to evaluate NPI vs. product CTQs. - Partner with segment Product Management Leader to conduct TGs for the segment as an independent function from the program execution team. - Support Global Quality Leader to ensure adherence to NPI process including Quality Functional Readiness and Tollgate (TG) reviews. - Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, FRO, Product Development, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Services and Global Quality) on status of past and open quality issues to ensure current NPI's have remediated or eliminated risks in the new product design. - Support Segment GM by driving creation and execution of testing &amp; validation plans for NPIs - Support the segment engineering team by driving usage of quality planning tools such as FMEAs and reliability models. - Support Global Quality leader by communicating key findings from Tollgates and Functional Readiness Reviews to quality staff and other Segments that may be impacted. For NPIs in launch phase: :&nbsp; - Support the Segment GM by representing the segment in LCB and leading NPI risk releases. - Partner with Supplier Quality to execute source qualification and supplier readiness plans. - Support the Segment GM by leading product launch rhythm to ensure product is meeting quality goals pre and post COD for prototype and lead projects. - Monitor and communicate launch status to targets and open quality issues. For the Segments fleet under management: - Partner with Segment GM to ensure segment business plans support operational quality goals. - Partner with Global Quality Leader and Segment Fleet support team to implement process to integrate lessons learned back into processes to eliminate repetitive issues - Support Segment GM and Global Quality Leader by implementing segment quality dashboard for monitoring status. Drive gap closure to quality metrics across NPIs and installed base. - Partner with Services Segment and Regions to serve as segment leader on VOC results and driving action plans to close issues as they apply to the segment / products at hand. - Escalate issues as appropriate to functional and regional teams for resolution. Report findings to Segment Staff - including but not limited to an overall summary of open quality issues (RCAs, Top Issues, etc) that apply to the segment Qualifications/Requirements : - Master's/Bachelor's Engineering Degree from an accredited university or college - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality - Minimum of 5 years in Product Development, Project Management or Engineering - Black Belt Certification or equivalent - Strong leadership &amp; organization skills especially in matrix environment - Experience to work well with various leadership and Organization levels Desired Characteristics : - Master Black Belt Certification - Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC), Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Red X experience - Prior Renewable Energy / Wind business experience - Demonstrated project management, organizational and planning skills - Demonstrated problem solving experience - Expertise in Quality and Reliability tools Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
