Essential Responsibilities : - Interpret, develop & implement accounting policies & procedures, lead new standard implementation as necessary - Lead accounting matters resolution process identify, analyse & conclude on technical accounting issues - Monitor key accounting processes executed by Global Operations team including accounts receivables (including factoring), accounts payable, fixed assets, intercompany, general accounting, & consolidation - Execute crucial controllership monitor processes including quarter end financial statement reviews, distributed controllership assessments, account reconciliation audits, etc. - Extensive interaction with commercial, operations, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), finance, treasury, and tax functions - Interface with Power & Corporate controllership organizations - Key contact for internal & external auditors Role Summary/Purpose : This role is a member of the controllership team within the Steam Power System (SPS) business of Power division of the General Electric Company. Reporting to the Business Controller of SPS, this position will be a key technical accounting resource to the SPS operations & finance organizations regarding complex financial accounting & reporting matters. In addition, this role will play a key role in monitor critical accounting processes and executing quarter end closing review procedures.
