Role Summary/Purpose:

Quality, Lean & CI improvement Leader should help drive a culture of continuous improvement by providing overall leadership on assuring quality to our customers in our execution. The role will partner closely with Sub-region leaders and functional leaders within the business to define the Quality plan, Lean deployment plan and own the execution of the plan to drive continuous improvement culture.

Essential Responsibilities -

- Lead improvement projects with a goal of enhanced performance including world class quality

- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness of the business and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own functional area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation.

- May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.

- Impacts the team's ability to achieve service quality and timeliness of objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

- Should be well versed with the Lean concepts, practice and enable identification of Kaizen projects which can have significant impact on business and customer outcomes

- Provides Leadership in terms of driving training and development of business teams in the awareness and application of Lean concepts for driving customer value

Required Qualifications :

- This role requires significant experience in the Quality & Process Improvement and change management experience

- Experience of leading Quality and/or Lean initiatives for a business at least for a period of 5 years

- Bachelors in Engineering

Desired Characteristics :

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- BB/MBB certification in Lean/Six Sigma

- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

- Ability to work in a matrixed structure and be able to drive change through demonstrated influencing leadership skills

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

- Demonstrated ability to ask the right questions, analyze and resolve problems.

- Experience in leading projects in the Sub-stations space will be a plus
