General Electric - Quality Leader - GE Transportation Services Shed

Location : Lucknow/Roza

The Quality Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will be responsible for Quality function at GE Transportation Services Shed, the incumbent needs to have systems thinking & quality experience at a factory setting. Will set KPI's for Quality function at Locomotive shed- Institutionalize QMS, Drive Lean, Focus on Improvement in Productivity.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, implement, and direct the application of assigned Material Resources to assure delivery of products and/or services that meets established requirements and fulfills customers' needs and expectations

- Maximize the use of assigned resources to assist GE in meeting its quality, schedule, and profit objectives

- Establish goals, work plans, and budgets such that lowest cost and highest quality results are achieved

- Assure that unit activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements

- Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements

- Analyze product losses, material review activity, manufacturing costs, and maintain programs to meet objectives

- Provide quality plans to monitor and report quality delays, control and monitor significant out of tolerance gauges

- Develop and maintain a communication plan to provide employees with adequate information concerning business goals and objectives

- Establish the climate that encourages an open two-way channel of communication whereby employees exchange ideas / suggestions and share information

- Be responsible for meeting customer / business needs

Qualifications/Requirements :

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 12 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Office environment)

- Locomotive systems knowledge

- Planning and Quality Improvement methods

Desired Characteristics :

Leadership experience in the areas of Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality

- Six Sigma Black or Master Black Belt certification or equivalent Quality certification

- Executive level presentation skills

- Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
